About this deal

If you want to smell good for women, this is perfect for you (universally loved amongst women for some reason). I also prefer this to the other BDCs. This has a sharper tart citrus note which I love. The other BDCs are sweetened up, a change which I don't prefer. I'd love to preface this by saying that Bleu, for all its cynicism, at least smells high-quality. Unfortunately it doesn't. It starts with a powdery ginger-citrus that Chanel PR wants us to believe is "grapefruit" (nope). Regrettably, they chose to pair it with sandalwood, the one ingredient they couldn't source naturally even if they wanted to. Better fragrances, such as Chanel's own Bois des Iles, hide such deficiencies through skillful composition, but Bleu's transparent pepper, incense and nutmeg notes only accentuate how cheap and unpleasant the synthetic sandalwood smells. Notes: The top notes of Paco Rabanne Invictus Aqua are violet leaves and grapefruit. The middle notes are violet, rosewood, sea notes, and woody notes. The base notes are amberwood and ambergris.

Bleu de Chanel is a modern yet classic smelling mens' fragrance that just works for any occasion. I absolutely love the classy vibes the incense gives off when I wear this, especially in unison with the When it comes to blue fragrances, there are a few key notes to look for. Citrus scents like lemon and orange are often featured in blue fragrances, as well as aquatic notes like seaweed and ocean air. Other common notes include herbs like basil and mint, and woods like cedar and sandalwood. Keep an eye out for these key notes when shopping for a blue fragrance, as they will help give the scent its signature cool and refreshing vibe. Test out different concentrations I disagree. It might be not the most „outstanding and innovative“ fragrance but its in no way boring to me. Scent: Versace Dylan Blue is a fantastic fragrance with a fresh and extremely likable scent. This fragrance opens with a fresh scent of grapefruit, supported by an aquatic undertone. A little while after the opening, some spices start to appear, giving the fragrance a bit of depth, as well as a clean, almost shower gel-like scent. When this fragrance starts to dry down, a nice scent of musk makes itself known, giving the fragrance a salty and clean feel. Overall, you’re left with a beautiful fragrance with a fresh and crowd-pleasing scent. The EDT is very fresh/citrusy and then later has some wood/spicy notes in the dry down. The EDP is a lot creamier and less fresh, also the dry down just isn’t as good IMO.That said, if you enjoy this stuff, put my words out of your mind and don’t let anyone tell you you shouldn’t enjoy it. This one is clearly a very wearable pop icon, and my aversion to it has everything to do with the marketing, acceptance by the masses, and subsequent ubiquitousness of the blue masculinity renaissance of the 21st century. I just hate to see luxury brands manipulating the segment of people who might spend a half a week’s salary on a bottle like this just to get to say they wear a luxury brand. I’m not saying that boost in self-esteem is anything to be ashamed of on a consumer’s end, but it definitely is a point of shame for the people making the profits. Give the people what they want in fiscally lethal doses, I suppose?

the only problem with all the Frag that I mention is that most guys in my country (Malaysia) who are below 25yo would probably have own it. Unless you want to smell like a any other dude who wear perfume than go ahead and grab yourself a bottle of this. TL;DR 2: all BdC is overpriced for what you get which is why I think the EDT is perfect if you just want the DNA.

True… I have full bottles of Layton and other more expensive fragrances which I love. However there is something weird happening there. As you get to have a lot of fragrances, a certain hierarchy is established. Layton is the one I enjoy the most, but… I don’t use it everyday, you know… that’s what a signature fragrance is (for me anything I use more than twice a week). I have gentle fluidity silver and club de nuit intense (limited edition), but… what Bleu does on an average day… is off the charts for me. I loved this fragrance at first. Fresh opening (that everyone knows about) that dries down to a beautiful light woody base. I keep asking myself if I would buy this again... the answer is "maybe". It doesn't last long, however when people come close they say I smell pretty damn good. Very versatile - I wear this to the gym too. You have to overspray this one, which means it's actually not that good a value proposition. This is an amazing discovery! Thanks Fragrantica and all the nice reviewers for helping me Finally give it a chance as I had ignored it previous years! Scent: Roja Dove Elysium is a beautiful fragrance with a fresh and aromatic scent. This fragrance opens with a gorgeous scent of fresh citruses, supported by a few fruity notes. This creates a bright and happy opening that sets the tone for the remainder of this fragrance. After the opening, the fragrance becomes a bit richer with the addition of a few floral notes, as well as some spicy notes. When this fragrance starts to dry down, there’s even a subtle hint of smokiness present. Overall, though, this fragrance stays fresh and beautiful. This was my first expensive perfume. I loved it until I tried many more different fragrances and since then this to me is something basic.
