About this deal

Producer Michael Klinger rejected a script for Confessions from a Haunted House. Plans to shoot a Direct to Video film in the 1980s also came to nothing, as did a proposed 1992 film, Confessions of a Squaddie, with action due to take place in post-Gulf War Kuwait. Sharing a room in the nurses’ home with an upper-class nympho called Penny Green (Carolyne Argyle), Rosie becomes the focus of sexual attention for a gaggle of lecherous student doctors whose main priority is shagging rather than treating patients. Rosie Dixon - Night Nurse (1978) Every opportunity for smutty innuendo is seized in this hospital comedy as Debbie Ash suffers countless indignities in the title… Timmy has an unfortunate accident when he is seduced by a shapely woman (Penny Meredith) in the sauna – in his passion, he burns his bum on the brazier and flees in agony. He is seen, but not recognised, by Whitemonk and Brigitte, who think he is a streaker.

Carry On Camping (1968) Carry On Camping has no plot to speak of - it is simply a collection of familiar eccentrics going on a… Every opportunity for smutty innuendo is seized in this hospital comedy as Debbie Ash suffers countless indignities in the title role. Playing Against Type: Caroline Ellis (Glad in Holiday Camp) was best known for mostly playing innocent girls on children's TV and took the role to (unsuccessfully) break into more mature roles. Four films from the popular 1970s Confessions... sex comedy series, following the saucy antics of the hapless Timothy Lea ( Robin Askwith). He escapes into the camp announcer’s room, and – needless to say – the announcer (Kim Hardy) is a very shapely girl who is just dying for some attention. Timmy is happy to oblige, unaware that the sound effects of their love-making are being broadcast throughout the camp. For pretty blonde-haired Ash, the role was gold dust and the trade papers spoke of her becoming ‘the next big thing’. Sadly it wasn’t to be. Her fame was eventually eclipsed by her sister Leslie, who incidentally took a small supporting role, with uncharacteristic brown hair, in Rosie Dixon. Raiders of the Lost Ark (1981) When George Lucas first pitched the idea of an old-fashioned action-adventure to Steven Spielberg, he couldn't possibly have predicted that… Adventures Of Milo & Otis, The (1986) Ever-curious ginger kitten Milo and his new farmyard friend, faithful puppy Otis, stray far and wide when a raging river… Coming Home (1978) Coming Home is very much Jane Fonda's project. She commissioned Nancy Dowd to write a story about the impact of… When production of Confessions of a Plumber’s Mate was cancelled, Rosie Dixon unknowingly marked Columbia Pictures’ last foray into British sex comedy.

The sight of him rolling around in an electric wheelchair, pinching bums and leering his way through his final performance as a hospital patient is almost painful, not to mention somewhat ironic, considering Askey had both legs amputated shortly after the film was made. Upon it’s release North America in 1978 the film was entitled Confessions of a Summer Camp Counsellor. Confessions from a Holiday Camp has the honour of being possibly the only soft porn movie to star John Junkin AND have a theme tune by The Wurzels (Give Me England) . So, porn with a touch of humour, you might say . . . and without a touch of porn. One of the girls, Brigitte (Linda Hayden), is a camp host and, therefore, ineligible for the contest, but she still has a very close relationship with Timmy. The guest stars (both in and out of bed) are of the usual Columbia calibre. Many faces are re-used from previous Confessions episodes, notably Liz Fraser as a dizzy housewife obsessed with winning newspaper competitions and John Le Mesurier as head surgeon Sir Archibald (more interested in the 3.30 at Newmarket than whipping out an appendix).Knowing when to make their exit, Timmy and Sid grab a go-kart and drive off. As Timmy says, moments before they hurtle into the boating lake, “There must be an easier way to make a living!”. What's Up Superdoc? (1978) Dr Robert Todd (Christopher Mitchell) is approached by Dr Annabel Leith (Julia Goodman), who is working on an artificial insemination…
