About this deal
my loveโs DaisyChris deserve a whole ESSAY for how adorable they were โ or wouldโve been if we had more content of them just being cute *gets a murderous glint in eyes* โ ugh there were two iconic scenes in this book and I loved them! I donโt understand why we were given so less of themmm!! it breaks my heart at the injustice of it all ๐ฉ
And things donโt become any easier when she falls hard for the beautiful and emotionally unavailable Christian Hemmes, who also happens to be one of the few men in London who doesnโt answer to Julian. Christian's life is no walk in the park either, since he's in love with his best friend's girlfriend, Magnolia Parks. He's happy enough to use Daisy to throw off the scent of his true affections - until she starts to infiltrate those too. I enjoyed the sex tape plot and I enjoyed the few scenes with the Box Set which were not solely focused on Magnolia. although daisy was a btec magnolia in her last book, i actually enjoyed her quite a lot here. and christian makes her so much more likable as well. thats bae <3. wouldnโt say i fell in love with her like i hoped i would, but i did warm to her and thatโs a start. shes much better written in this book (less mental instability). and her povs are also so much better when you donโt open those despicable footnotes.i said this before and i'm going to repeat it again: too tragic. this relationship was too much. why? because julian is getting a love interest and that girl could give him the moon and it still wouldn't mean anything because the author decided that he had to fall hopelessly in All 20-year-old Daisy Haites has ever wanted is a normal life, but as the heiress to Londonโs most notorious criminal empire, itโs just not on the cards for her. I hated this book so much that writing this is boring me so letโs move on onto the list of things I liked: Also, I hope she confirms if Christian is going to be Daisyโs endgame otherwise Iโll just give up on the series now. I could write a whole book on my feelings about Julian and Magnolia but Iโll try and keep it short. There was absolutely no reason for them to be in this book as much as they are. Julian and Magnolia were hooking up while she is in love with BJ. We know BJ and Magnolia are endgame, which makes this whole dragged out โJulian is in love with Magnoliaโ rhetoric both unnecessary and redundant. If the author wanted to do a โwho will Magnolia end up with?โ storyline, then she shouldnโt have given away the ending in MP2.
I'm already suffering for the way both of them are going to feel guilty about Bridget, and in some point is fair because he wasn't honest with her about what was happening in his life and she did get involved with a gang lord without thinking in the consequences. And heโs all surprised that I know his face, but what he doesnโt know is that how he looks in the morning time is burned into my memory and one day, when all this is over and weโre not hooking up anymore and heโs with someone else and Iโve figured out how to move on and past him and weโre not together anymore55 because I donโt think he has room in his heart to see me like that when all he can see is her, even if sometimes now it feels like maybe56 he couldโeven then, I will see his face when I close my eyes.โ And things donโt become any easier when she falls hard for the beautiful and emotionally unavailable Christian Hemmes, who happens to be one of the few men in London who doesnโt answer to Julian. This book has Daisyโs name on its title but I feel like Iโve read Magnolia and Julianโs book and Daisy and Christian were side characters. also, what kind of ganglord lets a cop live at his house, are you mentally okay Julian??? do you need psychological help???)Alsoโฆ Iโm over the love triangle. Again, pointless. Iโm over the boxset. Didnโt mind them but itโs becoming clear they have no loyalty to anyone but Magnolia. All they do is tear down Christian and to believe that sheโs trying to sell it to us as found family is laughable. The really disappointing thing is that I wouldโve loved all of this stuff if she wasnโt more and more just using everyone as a pawn to bolster one character. I know sheโs a new author, but this ainโt it. Aside for a cult following who are also obsessed with Magnolia I donโt see how this is a recipe for success. So we can safely admit that this useless relationship dragged Julianโs character in the mud and made him unbearable. Good job. Everything wonderful, everything magical, everything painful, everything beautiful and spectacular and wretched and defining that has happened to me happened with him. And I hate him for that.โ srsly I could not comprehend why Julian is behaving like heโs a main character when ๐๐ ๐๐ ๐๐๐ ๐๐ฑ๐ฐ ๐ถ๐ณ ๐ต๐ฒ ๐ต๐ฎ๐ ๐ต๐ถ๐ ๐ผ๐๐ป ๐ฝ๐ผ๐, ๐ท๐๐๐ ๐ฏ๐ฐ ๐๐ผ๐ ๐ต๐ฎ๐๐ฒ ๐ฎ ๐ฝ๐ผ๐ ๐ฑ๐ผ๐ฒ๐๐ปโ๐ ๐บ๐ฎ๐ธ๐ฒ ๐๐ผ๐ ๐ฎ ๐บ๐ฎ๐ถ๐ป ๐ฐ๐ต๐ฎ๐ฟ๐ฎ๐ฐ๐๐ฒ๐ฟ (๐๐ฒ๐ฒ ๐ญ๐, ๐ฏ๐ผ๐ผ๐ธ ๐ด ๐คก๐คก) Heโs supposed to stfu and STAY IN HIS LANE. You will fall in love with Daisy Haites a million times over and be desperate for more of her story when it ends.โ (FIVE STARS)
why oh WHYYYY did he think it would be okay to get involved with her๐ญ๐ญ๐ญ๐ญ everything is ruined now. everything. he cannot be forgiven for his involvement. heโs literally the worst character. Christianโs life is no walk in the park either, since heโs in love with his best friendโs girlfriend, Magnolia Parks. I know that some love is beautiful, and some is freeing, some unravels you, some love poisons you, some blinds you, some betters you, and some loves break you in invisible ways that no one else knows about until you have to stand up and the weight of your love crushes your bones.โ It's seems pointless to waist that much of the book in the "love story" of Julian and Magnolia when we all know that she is never going to love him and that it's going nowhere. Julian falling in love with Magnolia it's a no for me. He had a crush and they hook up and then heโs in love? I canโt understand it and i hate it. She is not his true love, what disrespect to BJ. Magnolia literally had more meaningful conversations with Daisy than with Julian.I think I understand for a fleeting moment why everything thatโs bad and painful and sad is worth it if you love someone, because Iโll remember how heโs looking at me now forever.โ Hands down the most emotional romance book I have ever read and therefore my favourite' (FIVE STARS) Everything gets more complicated when beautiful, broken-hearted socialite Magnolia Parks enters the scene and Julian finds himself entangled with her. Because for Julian, falling in love isnโt just unwelcome โ it could be deadly for everyone involved . . .
