Andy Apollo may not be a household name but the Reading-born actor has appeared in several big-name projects including 1917, Luther: The Fallen Sun, Pennyworth, Netflix’s Shadow And Bone, Outlander, 2017’s Murder On The Orient Express and Disney’s live-action remake of Cinderella. Ayola is best known for her roles in No Offence, The Pact, Alex Rider, The Chat and Anthony, among many other projects. More recently, he played Liam Sutcliffe in series one and series two of ITV1’s Liar, Duwayne Brooks in Stephen, and Rothwell Kentish in Small Axe.

Those of you who have already watched Netflix film Luther: The Fallen Sun will recognise him as D S Archie Woodward… Instead, actor Sam Hoare will play Roy Grace’s nemesis, who replaces Rakie Ayola’s character ACC Vosper (see below). Clare Calbraith stars Grace’s missing wife Sandy with viewers getting an insight into the couple’s relationship before her disappearance. A subplot about Grace’s long-lost wife who’s gone missing in Germany is meant to drip-feed tension into his narrative. In this viewer it simply triggered suppressed memories of Downton Abbey when Lady Edith’s chap was condemned to an identical fate because, at a guess, the actor had better things to do with his time. She is perhaps best known for her role as Kyla Tyson in the BBC medical drama Holby City from 2006 to 2008.

He’s also known for his roles as Mr Lovejoy in the film Boiling Point, Goz in the TV series Save Me, and PC Myall in White House Farm. Sunderland-born Laura Elphinstone is one of those faces you’ll recognise from numerous top TV shows and films. Meanwhile, there’s a rich ensemble cast in the first feature film of Grace series 3, Dead Like You. The actress is also known for her portrayal of Clare in Baptiste, Helen Morris in Little Blue Boy, and Steph Farrow in Home Fires. In a dramatic shootout, Cottan then threw himself in front of Kate Fleming and saved her from being shot.

When unsolved crimes resurface, Detective Superintendent Roy Grace faces a possible copycat killing in Dead Like You, by award winning crime author Peter James. Pennyworth’s Claudia Jolly plays Pippa Starling, newcomer Joanna Brooks stars as Maggie, You actor Ben Wiggins plays Oliver Starling, and The Key’s Heather Ann Foster stars as Rachel Ryan.Other notable roles include Sebastus in Plebs, James Robinson in Dark Angel, Alan Reynott in McMafia, and Gabriel in Knightfall.
