Description

and by Demon Cross really means Mean and Scary. There are no actual demonic entities, and no souls are eternally damned in the making of this book. Pada periode 1980-an hingga 1990-an, penerbit Dian Rakyat banyak mengalihbahasakan novel menarik untuk anak/pra-remaja, termasuk karyanya Gillian Cross.

Wow! This book just kept getting more exciting! My favourite character was Dinah Glass, I feel like she loves adventure and mystery and wants to find... He also spent seven years playing Officer Dwayne Myers in crime mystery Death in Paradise, announcing he wouldn’t be returning to the role in 2019.After his time as the headmaster, he appeared as the Grand Wizard in The Worst Witch, an episode of Doctor Who during the Matt Smith era, and in the Netflix series The Crown. One of the great characters of children’s books, the Demon Headmaster rules his school with his sea-green eyes through which he hypnotises the pupils. When Dinah arrives she sets up SPLAT, a group designed to protect the pupils from the head’s paranormal powers and to break his dictatorship. From the very first day at her new school, Dinah can see that something is horribly wrong. The children are strangely neat and well-behaved and they even work during break. What's going on? How can she find out the truth? And what is the secret of the Headmaster's control?

The series, adapted by Emma Reeves, is based on the newest series of books, beginning with Total Control (2017). These books focus on a new protagonist, Lizzie Warren, rather than Dinah Glass from the original books and series. The series was filmed on location in North Lanarkshire, Scotland. The third story is called 'Maths Homework', and features a teacher referred to as Old Webster. This is not the Demon Headmaster but is a very similar character. The introduction to the story says, 'Maybe you think you have spotted the Demon Headmaster somewhere. Are you sure? Things aren't always what they seem.'The Headmaster did not seem in any hurry to get rid of her. He crumpled the test paper in his hand, and dropped it, into the rubbish bin. Then slowly, he reached up a hand, to take off his glasses. The second story, called Carnival!, does not explicitly identify one of its characters as the Demon Headmaster, but from the illustrations and description are meant to make it obvious that it is him. These include the de facto leader and organizer Lloyd Hunter. Who can be a bit arrogant and sometimes jello of anyone stealing his thunder. But is ultimately a capable leader and is not actually as stupid as he first seems. In 1998, Puffin Books released a series of goody bags on certain themes and featured a notepad, pencil, rubber, etc., along with a small book. In the 'Fantasy' goody bag there was a book calling 'Crash Landing & Other Stories' by Gillian Cross. This book contains three short stories about the Demon Headmaster or people similar to him. The development of the subsequent stories was more unusual: the second television series was The Demon Headmaster Strikes Again, and the third was The Demon Headmaster Takes Over. Gillian Cross wrote the storylines for each project, and then wrote the books; Helen Cresswell turned the storylines into screenplays. Take the children, they're super tidy, they have perfectly combed hair, and smooth ties. They don't laugh, or play games, or shout. In fact they don't do anything. They just work, all the time. And they march around the school in lines, like robots.
