The book encourages us to look after our Earth and its vegetation and wildlife, since one day we may also be looking down on it from space and see a bare planet. There are many themes to explore in this book, but the striking theme is the environment and what people are doing to it. I read this book with a year two class and looked through the different themes and what the children thought. It was really interesting to see what they came out with.
