Doctor Who fans can expect plenty of fun and games in the next animation, thanks to The Celestial Toymaker. So I gave up, sold all the ltd ones to that point and bought the whole collection again in standard edt format.

It looks like Season 1, if it comes to bluray, will be incomplete unless the situation changes. Which will involve more money to pay for the rights and a few other demands, that I can’t see BBC agreeing to. Rex F I am sure you are right but what puzzles me is why someone else with the exact same Blu-ray player as me doesn’t see the fault. What are they doing that’s hiding it? Sn25 – I think 8, remembrance will have two im sure and possibly silver nemesis, im hoping all stories have an extended version like in 24, we shall see but I can’t see it with the amount of extras there are already and stuff they never put on the dvds, 8 seems right

Obviously they might have to mix eras here and there, which they have done already, but I think it’s cool that that might be the predominant rule/formula of the Behind the Sofa bonuses. Could it be poissible that Ian Levine has caught wind of a future animation and has attempted to complete it before they do? Or do you think that he would just steer clear if he knew there was some sort of project going on? I really don’t know Yeah wasn’t a big fan of the 2009 effects, but honestly it’s remarkable that with this box set alone we’ve had two updates to stories that’ve already been updated haha When is the next DWM out? You’d think it would get a mention in that so if that’s soon – we may not see that 3rd set pre Christmas? Reply

It will get sorted I’m sure, the Beeb are not going to give up on AUC as it’s “The ORIGINAL – you might say” The BBC’s YouTube channel have apparently only recently been making clips of An Unearthly Child private? (ITVX’s contract is allegedly soon to run out also) Would there be at least some amount of legitimacy towards the Corburn distribution claims? Reply

The very thought of that felt really wrong to me. New Who famously also has previous with making eiffy product designs for limited edition sets, so ultimately on balance, I guess I was drawn to the marketing and usp of the limited Collection, part of it felt good to fund it up-front, and having the luxury product in my hands felt like the real deal, and today in 2023 I just don’t get that feeling anymore. It is possible that the next release is either the Smugglers or the Celestial Toymaker, but not bothwithin months of each other. Of the rumours around the animation and release of these stories, one might be true but not both. There would need to be a third animation studio or of CT, tS or UM, one would have been made at least a year ago and the release delayed by 12 months or so – delaying a return on the work. Actually, saying that, he still wears his S19-20 outfit in that story, so it’d make more sense if it was his Awakening-Caves of Androzani outfit on that cover (with the green collar and the different bands on the jumper). It’s intriguing and exciting trying to guess and predict what they’ll do for each collection set, it’s all part of the hype for me. So looking forward to the announcement for the next season boxset. Studio Footage: Hours of material going behind-the-scenes on production of Arc Of Infinity, Snakedance and The Five Doctors Sn6 should definitely be 10! I think they fitted 8 extended episodes of sn23 on bd1, so 8 is about right with a slight bit of wiggle room, perhaps 9 given that they were extended, I feel like they may split invasion and war games over two discs (the actual stories themselves and not just the special features)I am so incredibly happy the suspicions were true and we are getting this season along with Five Doctors. Very fitting for a Anniversary Year. This season, together with three brand new specials with David Tennant, that seems like a fine ending of this year!
