My copy was pressed flat and plays great - a little bit of noise in some quiet parts, but nothing some more cleaning/plays can't fix. Abdul-Adil, Jaleel (February 13, 1994). "Wu-Tang Clan, 'Enter the Wu-Tang (36 Chambers)' (Loud/RCA)". Chicago Sun-Times. Archived from the original on November 18, 2018 . Retrieved January 13, 2017.

The easily and casually dropped notes of violence, hilarious crude humor, and incredible wordplay on the album help inspire me every day to do better in my own wording for my songs. I aspire to be as a better lyricist than the day before every day. The overdubbed and chopped Kung Fu movie samples and play-style skits on the album give the entire production a very theatrical feel, and is one of the best executed examples of such a connection between music and actor, artists both. All art is in and of itself interconnected.

The groups classic (November) 1993 debut album is presented as a set of six 7-Inch vinyl records (with a bonus seventh 7-Inch, see below) With the exception of "Method Man" and GZA's "Clan in da Front", every song features multiple rappers contributing verses of varying lengths. [15] The verses are essentially battle rhymes, mixed with humor and outsized tales of urban violence and drug use. There is some debate about whether the lyrics on 36 Chambers are properly classified as gangsta rap or something else entirely. [12] In a Stylus magazine review, writer Gavin Mueller evokes the bleakness of the Wu-Tang world view: Management – John Gibbons (8), John Hamilton (14), Jonathan Lugo, Mike McDonald (7), Mitchell Diggs, Vince HamlinMatrix / Runout (Runout side B, stamped lightly): 08 43930 20 2B1 [SVLP 215, with an 'MO' etching covering the 'S'] On Enter the Wu-Tang 's effect on the group and the music industry, the Milwaukee Journal 's Aaron Justin-Szopinski wrote "The Wu showed us that a hip-hop group can control its own destiny in the tangled web of the industry. It owns publishing rights, controls its samples and has 90% influence over its career. And that control, that outlook for the future, is what makes it the best." [58] Wu-Tang Clan have released seven subsequent group albums since Enter the Wu-Tang, including Wu-Tang Forever (1997), which is certified as a quadruple platinum record. [59] None of the subsequent Wu-Tang Clan albums have garnered the critical accolades that their debut was accorded. [60]
