At the time of writing there is no app support for the BTR3 but they are supposedly working on it and will add a battery indicator, an EQ plus 4 audio filters available. The Kawai ES100 has been created with the intention of creating the sound of a Shigeru piano by using a new sound technology called SK-EX Rendering The DAC should sound pretty good but it is very basic and will be an extra drain on your phone’s battery. If it performs similar to the Dragonfly series you should love it. The plastic used by Radsone is high quality; it feels solid and well-assembled. It doesn’t have the premium feeling of metal, but it offers significantly less weight – which is a pro for a device made for mobility. The buttons feel solid and well implemented. Features & Specs There’s not much more to say about how the ES100 sounds, but that’s a good thing if you ask me: it means that whatever headphones you are going to use, you will hear them and not the source. If you really wish you could add more of something in your sound, you could always use the embedded equaliser.

They have a great synergy and sound fantastic together, especially if your source supports LDAC. I’m using the IE 800 S right now with the 2.5 mm balanced output and streaming from my Shanling M5s (LDAC) and it is magical. The Bluetooth connection is managed by the Qualcomm CSR 8675 chipset, coupled with the patented DCT technology developed by Radsone themselves. This technology allows them to severely limit jitter and to limit noise. Connection quality is superb: the music keeps on playing even at the furthest edges of the source’s range. The only issue is that in that situation half a second of music is skipped every now and then. Audio quality from both units is comparable but the BTR3 sounds just a little bit leaner and more transparent. Seriously.BATTERY life is very good, going from 8 to 14 hours depending of volume or output you choose, 2.5mm is less power hungry than 3.5 for example. The BTR3 comes with a Type-C interface, and an audio codec indicator that shows different colours with different codecs. I bought this to increase the convenience level of my Ety ER4XR. I have previously used (and abused) extensively the Samsung HS3000. What I wanted for my Eties was something like the HS3000, but with more power. The device I received exceeded all expectations. You don’t have to sacrifice your musical standards, especially if you can’t afford a real piano.
