I love the camera, it has amazing quality both day and night. The different colors and patterns you can select are very nice. The ability to move the camera and move the lights independently to different positions is great. The WLC really held up in very cold -40F cold and snow. Like other Eufy products, there’s no subscription – videos are stored in its 4GB of built-in storage, or optionally on a connected Eufy HomeBase 3 hub. The ‘Wired’ in this device’s name refers to where it gets its power from, as it connects to your network wirelessly. Design and installation You could get around this with a little artful filling to flatten off the wall, but I didn’t find this camera’s build quality as confidence inspiring as the Floodlight Cam. One limitation with Eufy’s products is that they generally don’t support either the ONVIF or RTSP protocols, which would let you integrate them into an existing CCTV setup. That’s the case here – you can’t stream this camera’s output to, say, a NAS drive. Perhaps more frustratingly, the Wired Wall Light also doesn’t work with Eufy’s older HomeBase or HomeBase 2 hubs, both of which offer extra storage space. It is compatible with the HomeBase 3, though.

The motion detection sensitivity can be adjusted too, and asked to only show alerts for human beings in the frame (rather than pets or bins that have fallen over). In our testing, this worked flawlessly, although we didn't actually get anyone to break into our house – the detecting abilities extend to around 9 metres or 30 feet, so it's more than enough to keep an eye on your property. On the whole, I’m very impressed with the Eufy S100 Wall Cam. The powerful light panels can blow out details on people’s faces at night but you can turn the light trigger off and capture a clearer monochrome picture using night vision.
