Other than that all pretty good and I like the couple they make. There were a lot of tropes played out in this book: best friends brother, forced proximity, enemies to lovers, sports romance. They all worked well together. I LOVED ZEKE AND RILEY 😭 they had me swooning so hard. the plot didn’t interest me all that much, mainly because i feel like not a lot happened? but the way i still had a marvelous time. Shut the front door. Light the fire, grab a glass of wine, I have just found my new book boyfriend. Zeke is my main man. From the cover, this book had me hooked. Ignore him,” Clay said. Enemies to lovers, college sports romance, brother’s best friend, forced proximity… these are a few of my favorite troupes! Put them all together and you get an epic romance book from Kandi Steiner! Oof, Kandi Steiner didn’t give me enough of a warning about how this book would make me feel. I always go into Kandi’s stories prepared to cry and/or soul’s been wrung dry. And with Fair Catch I definitely went through all of the feelings. While not as angsty as I expected it to be, I didn’t care. Because Riley and Zeke delivered a story that was part redemption, part falling in love for the first time and all of it tied together with what is becoming one of my favourite tropes—frenemies to lovers.

I accidentally read the second book before this one, but I didn’t love this one quiiiiiite as much as Blind Side. However, it did really like it! Zeke and Riley grew up as great friends, while her twin brother Gavin is best friends with Zeke. Something tragic happens when they’re sixteen that Riley blames Zeke for and she hates him for it.

This book had me by the throat. I read this baby in one sitting because I refused to put it down. All things adulting completely ignored and I have not a single regret. Kandi Steiner delivered in giving me the most tantalizingly addictive story.
