About this deal

This is everything I hoped it would be. Everything. I loved Cal in Terms and conditions but we never really got this side of him. He’s still funny but turns out his life is a mess and throughout the book you see a lot of character growth from him. Lana is incredibly strong, sometimes a little impulsive but that’s understandable. I did however love how the Kane family reunited and interacted throughout the book. It gave me all the warm and fuzzy feelings to see all three brothers conquer their demons and create the family they deserved.

First all can we talk about how I love how the book touched on love and struggling with an addiction. I think it can help someone who has either dealt with this in life or has someone who's struggling with an addiction and how they can cope. All I can say is CALLAHAN PERCIVAL KANE. Like don’t get me wrong, I love Declan and Rowan, but I knew that Cal would be my favorite Kane brother since we saw so much of him in Terms and Conditions.

Unfortunately, the Final Offer fell short of my expectations. The reasons why I liked Cal in the previous books seemed to have been stripped away, and the book was too long. I almost gave up on it 20 times, but I persevered to provide this detailed review. It has plenty of spice in it if that's your thing, for me I ended up skimming some of it as it was repetitive. But if this is your thing you won't be disappointed. Lauren Asher: Time really does fly when you’re having fun because it feels like I just published Throttled last month rather than three years ago. My love for romance books and my interest in Formula 1 was one of the biggest motivators I had for writing a book of my own. I’ve read so many sports romances over the years, and I really wanted to take a chance on creating my own racing world that focused on glitz, glam, and romance. As with Asher’s previous books, Final Offer has a dual POV which I absolutely adore in romance books. It would be so easy to dislike Cal. On the surface, he’s just a spoiled trust-fund baby that never grew up. In reality, his low self-esteem, his grief and his addiction, combined with his ADHD diagnosis, led him to rely on destructive and unhealthy coping mechanisms. The Dreamland Billionaires series has been one that I had wholeheartedly enjoyed. I read Fine Print a few years ago, and love the relationship between Zahra and Rowan. I waited months for Terms and Conditions to be released and went in with so many expectations and ideas about how I wanted the book to go. And although I enjoyed it, my expectations had not been met.

Culturess: I’m sure a lot of us are going to have a book hangover after finishing Final Offer. Do you have any recommendations for books you’d suggest reading after it? All across the USA, people are showing up dead. The deaths don't appear to be connected in any way until one particular death occurs and gets the Secretary of Defense's attention. He arranges for a task force to investigate. Also, I need to mention that Camila Theresa Castillo is, as previously stated, a star! Cami’s the cutest, funniest and smartest kid there is. I loved seeing her scenes, seeing her the way she talked to and manipulated people (lol, poor Cal, he honestly never stood a chance), and, most of all, I love her relationship with her mother and her relationship with Cal—the amount of girl dad energy he gave and the father-daughter energy they had from the beginning were insane. The first in the Dreamland Billionaires Series. I actually read this second and the second one first, so please note you can read them as standalones. Being the heir to his family’s media empire, Declan is the CEO of a major legacy, but his grandfather’s will stipulates that he must marry and have an heir of his own. His assistant Iris then volunteers for the job, and the position seems simple at first; get married and have a baby together. They’re not supposed to fall in love, that is until a passion between them both begins to grow, one that they desperately try to fight off. Will they both end up together finally, is Declan going to continue his family’s legacy, and just what are the terms and conditions?

As the three of them are forced to play house, they fall into a routine and it would be easy for Lana and Cal to imagine a life together but the looming end of the summer and Cal leaving is one of the things that has Lana holding onto any sense of letting herself fall again for the man who so obviously wants to become someone who is worthy of her time. Lauren Asher: I am excited to be working on a new series that will be a part of the Dreamland/ Dirty Air universe. the growing closeness between the three brothers toward the end of the book is a lovely way to wrap up the series. definitely one of my favourite books i’ve read!! An author of romance novels, Lauren Asher is well-regarded for writing emotional and engaging stories that really draw the reader in. Filling her books with angst and steam, she immerses her audience in her richly interwoven worlds that instantly grab the reader. Imaginative and compelling on every level, she perfectly understands her audience, knowing just where she wants to take them. This approach of hers has seen her become enormously successful worldwide, reaching a variety of different readers both nationally and internationally. An active member of the literary community, she has a strong presence online, with a loyal following of readers from around the world. This following continues to grow with each passing day, allowing her to become the writer she’s always wanted to be. Maintaining a public profile both offline and on, she continues to regularly write on a consistent basis, with more to follow.

Cal is totally swoonworthy; not only is he a committed cat dad, but he is also so sweet to Lana’s daughter, Cami, and it was very cute to see Cal develop an almost instant dad-like connection with Cami. Seeing how Cal learned to use books as a healthier way of coping with some of his mental health struggles was great to see and I think that other readers will connect with this as well. My favourite part of Final Offer was the epic trip to Dreamland (the Kane family’s Disney-esque theme park), which included a princess makeover and fireworks! Asher included some comedic elements in this novel that were brilliant; for example, Cal unknowingly volunteers to dress-up in an embarrassing costume for the community Strawberry festival. It was great having the other Kane brothers (and their significant others) still part of the plot in Final Offer and made regular appearances throughout the novel. Without spoiling anything, I felt like the ending, both of this story and the series, was very fitting. Lauren Asher: I always knew I wanted Cal and Lana to reunite, but the idea of how wasn’t decided upon until I got around to writing his story. Originally, I was headed in the direction of another office romance but a last-minute idea I bounced off my mom turned it into the small-town romance. Cal wants to be out of the town where he could have had the love of his life and being so close to Lana and Cami in the guess house is his own personal form of torture of having what could have been so close but out of reach. And, as Brady Kane would have had it, the house is filled with asbestos causing Lana and Kami to have to live in the guess house with Cal. Cami is beyond thrilled as she and Cal have become best friends over the weeks while Lana is hesitant to be so close to Cal as he is already starting to wear down the walls around her heart. Book Three of the interconnected-standalone Dreamland Billionaire series by Tiktok Sensation, Lauren Asher is finally here!Final Offer doesn’t feel like a conclusion to a series. It feels a like a middle book. When the book eventually did conclude, it was underwhelming. However, the romance does shine with outstanding and memorable moments with Cal and Alana. Those moments are sparse and mixed between drawn out events. I'm the Kane brother everyone gossips about -trust fund brat,washed-up athlete,high-functioning alcoholic... No one knows the real me but her. Lana Castillo - my childhood best friend and the only woman I ever loved, until I broke her heart six years ago. But now, my grandfather's will changes everything. To receive my inheritance, I was tasked with spending a summer at the family lake house before selling it.Turns out Lana doesn't just live at the house, but she claims to own it too. Now on to Lana... Omg, where do I even start with her. Certain parts of the book I really enjoyed Lana and love her personality, but at some moments and chapters I couldn't get with her and it also made me not want to finish the book. I get that Lana has trust issues and she doesn't want to trust Cal or let him in; even when he's trying his hardest to be the best and to be sober for her too. It gets to a point where you have to stop and think it through. Like when she eavesdropping (she doesn't mean to do it intentionally, it just happens) and she finds out about inheritance and the will. She shuts Cal all the way out and puts up this guard. Now I understand her reason for being mad and upset, but at the same time to understand what's going on you have to talk with your SO and understand why they're doing what they did. At times it made me feel like Lana doesn't want to trust Cal and she doesn't care for him like that. But towards the end of the book she finally let her guard down and let Cal in. It always feels hard and bittersweet to say goodbye to a series I've been in love with for so long, but, at least, it was in the best way possible. Cal and Alana’s story has my heart and it is by far my favorite in the Dreamland Billionaires series. What I do like is that Asher does portray the FMC as a strong, no-nonsense woman and not some wash out about what she does and doesn't expect from life. I like that her work is well written and descriptive with well rounded characters. I enjoy the pace and the slow burn plus the tension build up between her enemies-to-lovers trope. With this Asher excels. I will be reading other work by her at some point in the near future.

Cal’s personality is that he’s an addict with money, and the other characters’ personalities revolve around whether they have money or not. I struggled to remember the previous two books while reading this one, which suggests they are easily forgettable. However, I do recall being excited to read Cal’s book. Six years pass and Cal has never returned to Lake Wisteria (except for one time) where Lana lives and he used to visit his grandfather Brady Kane during the summer. As good old Brady would have it, Cal needs to sell the house that Brady left for him to be able to get his inheritance and help his brothers secure their portion of the Dreamland franchise that Brady created. Little dose Cal know that Brady was a sneaky man who had more puzzle pieces than Cal expects, and when he shows up to the lake house for the first time in years, he finds out that none other than Lana had actually inherited half of the lake house. Causing Cal how to find a way to convince Lana to sell the house. And Lana, as Cal calls her, is one of the strongest characters Lauren has written till the date. She’s an incredible woman, who’s so selfless, caring and loving, and that has been through a lot throughout her life. She’s an amazing person, who's willing to sacrifice herself to see the people she loves happy, especially when it comes to her daughter, Cami—who honestly, is a highlight and the star of the book. The mother-daughter relationship between them and how much they care for each other is beautiful. Are you excited about the release of Final Offer? Do you have a favorite book of hers? Be sure to let us know in the comments. Always having an imaginative streak, Lauren Asher would focus on her love of reading and writing from a very early age. This passion of hers would develop over time, allowing her to essentially become the full-time novelist she’d always wanted to become. Refining and honing her craft throughout the intervening years, she’d come to establish her own unique voice with its distinct style and tone. Clare thought that by now she would have her life figured out. Instead, she's living with her parents, working a job she hates and has absolutely no idea what she wants to do with the rest of her life. Several comments about this book. Firstly like all Asher's books, it is well written with a lot of detail and of course with much fun, humour and deathly romantic. I enjoy the Dreamland series and this one doesn't disappoint.
