I’m not going to share this with the people, but I will share this Five Crowns winning strategy with you!

Wild Card: Wild cards can substitute for any card in a book or run. The card value serving as the wild card for a particular round changes. Game Setup Players play 11 hands/rounds. In each round, players attempt to play all their cards by making card combinations. Setting Up Five Crowns Card Game

The wilds and changing rounds make the game a bit faster and more interesting to some people than the standard rummy game. Now, this is where things get different! While some of the cards might seem familiar, others will be entirely new to people. Five Crowns, as the name implies, uses five different suits.

Keep your options open. You can come from behind even in the last round; hence the slogan, The game isn't over 'til the Kings go wild! When the card for the round is dealt, the remaining cards should be placed in the middle, and these will then form the draw pile. Before starting the round, take one card off the pile and put it down, so it’s face-up; this card creates the discard pile. Book and Runs Going Out: Start your turn as normal, then lay down your entire hand in books and/or runs on the table in front of you before discarding your last card. Fear not! There’s a way to play it without the official cards, but while it’s not exactly the same, it’s pretty darn close. We play cards with several different groups of friends and family. With some, I never pull stuff like this, but with others, I know we’re competitive enough that a strat like this is just a part of the game.Play continues until one player lays out all of their cards. At that point, each other player has one more turn in which to empty their hand. For example, if you’re waiting for one of two cards for a run and you see the player across from dumping a bunch of them, it may be time to switch strategy. If it’s your final turn after a player has gone out, then you may consider discarding a wild card or joker. You have to decide whether it is more important to reduce the number of points assigned to you, at the risk of helping another player lay out all of their cards. This may depend on the score differential between yourself and the current winning player, or player(s) closest to you if you are currently winning.

I’m not going to list out the directions here; instead, I will direct you to SET’s official solitaire rules.

Watch For Sets Over Runs For Faster Matches – There are 10 of each card, so your odds are pretty good of getting sets. Keep Nearby But Disconnected Run Cards – Don’t get rid of just-off run cards. A wild or good draw can connect them all! Then, you can use the wild somewhere, maybe to complete another set or run or even just add on to this one.
