There's no particular reason for 24MP here, the lens isn't really good enough for cropping. Nor is it good enough for printing big posters than include data from the corners.

The f/2.8 maximum aperture helps keep shutter speeds high in low light, but you still need to be ready to bump up the ISO. All finger waggingly brought to us in a “review” that likely falls closer to the release of the next model than the model being reviewed. All in an article that could’ve been rejected on technical and journalistic merit by AARP’s intrepid tech reporters. if you find this interesting you might enjoy shooting with something like one of the x 100 cameras where older exam,ples are about the same cost as this DPR's sample pictures are not very appealing (colour, framing, etc), so it is difficult to get excited about this camera.
