About this deal

The Casio fx-CG50 isn’t very sleek or lightweight, but I think that it has a moderately appealing design. The color scheme and physical look of the fx-CG50 make it seem like the big brother of the Casio ClassWiz fx-991EX. Below on the left is the Casio ClassWiz fx-991EX (a scientific calculator) next to the Casio fx-CG50. The front pannel is made of the same geometric carbon fiber looking pattern that is found on the Casio ClassWiz. This pattern gives the calculator some life and makes it a lot less boring to look at. The fx-CG50 is our most advanced graphic calculator approved by exam boards. Its functionality is a perfect fit from GCSE to A-level Maths, Further Maths and IB. The user-friendly icon menu, function keys and interactive format enable intuitive operation. The large high-resolution colour screen gives exceptional clarity and easily distinguishes different graphs. The ClassWiz FX-991EX advanced scientific calculator is a numeric calculator with all the functionality required by Ofqual. A really convenient feature on the Casio fx-CG50 is the textbook style printing of inputs and answers. What I mean by this is that the calculator will display expressions as they would be written out instead of how they would normally appear on a calculator. That means that fractions look like fractions rather than like this 2/3 and other things like exponents will actually be smaller numbers raised and to the right of their bases. This feature is becoming more and more common which is great because it makes reading and entering expressions much easier.

You may want to graph a function because you want to analyse it. You would then use Graph Solve or G-SOLVE. The most common aspects you may want to explore on your graph include finding the root, it’s local maximum value or its local minimum value, where it is crossing the y-axis. or, if there are two functions drawn, where they cross each other. The large, high-resolution colour display with natural illustration shows fractions, square roots and other numerical expressions in the same way as they appear in maths textbooks. Featuring a large memory capacity, the calculator allows for the storage and retrieval of data, formulas, and graphs. Additionally, it supports data transfer to personal computers and can be connected to other devices for enhanced functionality. These functions are effective in exploring 3D Graphs geometrically. 1) Viewing from various directions

Advanced statistical calculations: tests (Z-test, t-test, χ²-test, F-test, ANOVA), intervals (Z-interval, t-interval), distributions The fx-CG50 has a financial calculation app that makes the calculator especially useful for things like home finance. This app has a lot of built in features and it makes doing these types of calculations pretty easy

The 3D graphing app isn’t totally open though. You can choose to graph 5 different shapes a line, a plane, a sphere, a cylinder and a cone. First you select one of these shapes and then you enter the numbers into the preset equation. You can’t just graph arbitrary equations. Teachers can request a free licence for use in classrooms, remote and blended learning (available in the UK, Channel Islands, Isle of Man and Ireland).Getting started with calculations is fairly intuitive. When dealing with fractions, you can input fractions quite nicely using the default fraction button, which every calculator has. You can use S to D to interchange between fractions and decimal solutions. E-CON4 1) This feature, with a simple user interface, is effective for collecting data for use in classroom science and technology lessons.

You can scroll around with the directional pad to see the atomic number and weight of each element. If you select an element and press [EXE] you will get an even more detailed description, and even a picture! The “Physium” app will give you the full periodic table of elements as well as a good amount of scientific constants. The periodic table is one of the most impressive ones we have seen on a graphing calculator. You can also select different series of the elements in the table. For example, you can see all of the Alkali Metals selected in the table below. Maths is a visual subject. A graphic calculator allows students to explore graphs. For example, you could plot a graph, find the coordinates where two graphs cross, or draw a data chart. Technical amendments and errors excepted. The sizes in figures do not correspond to the original sizes. The graphing speed isn’t too bad but it’s not snappy either. From my tests I was able to graph a 3D shape in about 6 seconds. Once you get the shape graphed though, you can look at it from different angles no problem. Just use the directional pad and you will change your viewing angle without any hesitation by the calculator. Hardware
