Later, after Kovu began to form a connection with Kiara, he asked if Scar was among the Great Kings of the Past. Kiara did not answer, and Kovu confessed that, though Scar was not his father, he was still a part of him. Kiara remarked that her father believed that Scar had possessed a darkness from which he had been unable to escape, and Kovu wondered if he had the same darkness in him.

When Scar reveals to Mufasa that Simba was trapped in a gorge with the wildebeest, Mufasa rushes to save his son from the stampede. Although he was successful in rescuing Simba, Mufasa was struggling at the edge of the cliff. He begs Scar to help him, but Scar flung his brother off the cliff and watch as he is trampled to death. Deceived by Scar that it was his fault his father died, Simba runs away from the Pride Lands. Many years later, Mufasa's spirit reveals to Rafiki that Simba is still alive, prompting the shaman to search for him. Rafiki takes Simba to a small, magical pool which brings upon Mufasa's ghost up in the sky. As the rightful heir to the Pride Lands, Mufasa encourages Simba that to remember who he is and return to the Pride Lands. Following Scar's defeat, Mufasa reminds Simba one last time to remember who he is. Think songs not scenes — though there are dramatic interludes and the pacing and setlist follow the well-known story through from “Circle of Life” to “Hakuna Matata” to the dramatic coronation of Simba as the new king, the show doesn’t weigh itself down with the need to explicitly retell the story everyone knows by heart. Kovu is mentioned by Jasiri when she tells the Lion Guard that Zira's kids have fully grown and have returned to the Outlands with the supposed intent on taking over the Pride Lands.Explicit content and language throughout the entire work. Only appropriate for individuals over a particular age. When Janja's clan and the Lion Guard escaped the fire, Scar manifested in the blaze and claimed that Kion and the Lion Guard had perished. However, the team soon emerged alive, to Simba's relief. In the face of the Lion Guard's survival, Scar advised Kion to lead everyone out of the Pride Lands so that he and his army could take over the kingdom, but Kion refused to surrender. Despite the young lion's bravado, Scar gloated that Kion could not defeat him but knew where to find him should he ever attempt it. Scar then disappeared into the smoke. Instead of resorting to anger and using the Roar of the Elders like Scar had expected, Kion forgave Scar and called upon the Great Lions of the Past to judge the evil spirit for his actions. Consequently, the Great Lions of the Past unleashed rain upon Scar, which began to extinguish his fire and evaporate him into nothingness. Just before being destroyed, Scar warned Kion that he would eventually see the Roar as a curse and declared that they were the same. With Scar defeated, the Mark of Evil from which he had arisen was destroyed, his army was disbanded, and Jasiri took his place as the de-facto ruler of the Outlands. [4] Kion's healing journey “ One of the sins of pride is cursing and lying (Ps. 59:12). Boasting is another manifestation of pride. To boast means to puff oneself up in speech, to speak vaingloriously. Arguing and disputing is another manifestation of pride (1 Tim. 6:4). James said that “no man can tame the tongue” (James 3:8). This could be due to Leviathan’s influence, for he cannot be tamed. We need a work of grace in our hearts and lips to overcome pride’s manifestations.

Beverly and Derek live among the iconic big cats in Botswana, often spending days out in the bush living in their specially modified Land Cruiser, which can handle deep puddles and rivers. They spent 18 months filming "Game of Lions" — which is less than one hour in length — and another five months editing. From a young age, Scar was arrogant, narcissistic, and powerhungry. He flaunted his position as the leader of the Lion Guard and enjoyed domineering others to his will, even his own Lion Guard. He let his power, both physical and executive, get to his head, to the point that he believed that he was more worthy of being king than Mufasa. Though he loved to receive attention and praise, Scar retained no loyalty to his homeland or his family, as he nearly betrayed both so he could forge an alliance with a rogue lion who wanted to overtake the Pride Lands. Additionally, Scar was quite introverted and reserved, and preferred to patrol on his own. [4] In a typical natural population of lions, about 23 to 30 percent of the animals are males, Hunter said. But hunts geared toward males can skew that balance. In Zambia's Luangwa Valley, for example, hunting recently decreased the portion of males to 8 percent of the population, at least four times lower than it would normally be, he said. Even though she may make an effort to deny it, she is aware that beneath his chilly demeanour lies a guy who has the power to seduce her with his touch. They make a valiant effort not to give in to their embarrassing urges, but in the end, they are unsuccessful. When male lions take over a new territory, they almost always kill the prides' cubs, since they are not biologically related and do not want to spend energy ensuring that other lions' genes will be passed on. "They can't be stepfathers," Hunter told LiveScience. Female lions also will not be receptive to mating while they are nursing, so killing the cubs enables the male lions to procreate, said Beverly. Between that classic show, the everlasting Broadway and West End production, and the more raucous, interactive Festival of the Lion King at Disney’s Animal Kingdom and Hong Kong Disneyland, Rhythms of the Pride Lands miraculously manages to find a whole new approach. While en route to the Tree of Life, Kion started to act more and more aggressive, which made Bunga believe that Ushari's venom was corrupting him. Eventually, Kion and Fuli had a stand-off, and Bunga told Kion that he had turned evil. Horrified and regretful, the young lion ran away from his friends. While in isolation, he saw his reflection in a puddle of water and asked himself if he was turning evil. Just then, Scar's reflection appeared in the water and taunted Kion for bearing the Mark of Evil. Scar commented that they were the same, but Kion asserted that, though they looked the same, they would never act the same. Kion then splashed the water, which dissolved Scar's reflection. [23] Unlike the other lions in his pride, Scar's claws are always unsheathed. [1] The Outsiders share this trait. [5]
