El constante maltrato al español. De verdad, ¿es necesario que los personajes hablen en otro idioma y eso se escriba mal? Porque los padres de Sal son hispanohablantes y Mariana Zapata muchas veces escribe en inglés lo que dicen y añade cosas como "...me dijo mi madre en español". ¡Y tan ricamente, chica! ¿¡¿Por qué, entonces, POR QUÉ, tiene que escribir cosas como "alomejor"?!? ¿Pensará que no lo va a leer nadie que hable ese idioma? ¿O pensará que ya por ver que los personajes lo hablan vamos a estar tan felices que vamos a pasar por alto semejantes patadas? Pffffffffffffffffffffffff. Creo que haré un último intento con una novela suya antigua, que ya tengo y de la que me han dado mejores referencias porque no se parece nada a esta. Pero ya no lo volveré a intentar con ella, este estilo me crispa. anyone that knows me knows the repetition in mz’s books drives me CRAZY. her quirky writing is too much for me most times but the fact that i could overlook it in this book says so much.

How? If he knew ALL ALONG that she was his #1 fan, that he came to the team simply because of her, and that he STILL has her letters framed in his house...why did he treat her like shit in the beginning of the book? Why did he threaten to bench her after she helped him? Why did he do ANY of that in the beginning? It simply makes no sense to me. There were also a ton of mistakes that other readers have noted, like and insane amount of comma abuse and misuse and other errors. Oh, and there was the scene when Kulti and Sal are finally kissing. Courage is not a monopoly of extroverts. Introverts also dare to come to the forefront when needed. Many famous world leaders like Gandhi, Obama, etc. were introverts. That didn't prevent them from achieving their goals. They showed the courage to face the spotlight and work hard to achieve their goals. We can see a similar situation when a person was an introvert but still successfully played in front of a large number of people in this novel.

Welcome to Sal Casillas’ world! I listened to the Audible version of this book and I thought that it was fabulous. I loved the humor and the wittiness of the heroine, Sal Casillas. Kulti was a real piece of work at times and I loved that Sal wasn't afraid to call him out on his assholery. (Yep! I'm making that a word.) I do love my smexy times in books but if you are looking for some hot loving and major sex scenes here you will be disappointed. I did not care. I loved the build up of their relationship, their banter. He had secrets. She had secrets... Mal dosť zložitú povahu, no napriek tomu nemal problém si ma rýchlo získať jeho milými skutkami, ktorými vynahrádzal to, že nevie dobre komunikovať. Taktiež som si užívala ich vekový rozdiel, ktorý mi vôbec neprišiel poburujúci ale úplne som to s tou vyspelosťou chápala. Osud si tu s postavami pekne zahral čo som si dokonalo užila.Sal bola skvelá postava, páčilo sa mi aké prezývky dávala Kultimu aj ako na sebe stále pracovala aby bola lepšia a lepšia. Přečtení si této knihy jsem hodně dlouho odkládala a to jen proto že hlavním tématem je fotbal a ten teda není vůbec nic pro mě. Ale jsem ráda že jsem do ní nakonec pustila, protože já to miluju It's amazing how realistically the author portrays the slow development of their love and relationship.
