LEGO Speed Champions sets deliver authentic replicas of the world's most innovative and best-known vehicles. Perfect for display, the collectible models are also great for thrilling race action against other vehicles from the Speed Champions range. Tyres have presented consistent issues when developing LEGO Formula 1 cars, particularly for smaller models. This car therefore includes the standard wheels introduced during 2020, albeit with printed wheel caps originating from 75891 Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 Race Car. These widen the tyres somewhat and feature Pirelli branding, which looks superb. The first Formula 1 grand prix of 2022 takes place on March 20, with the traditional car launches, shakedowns and testing in the weeks prior.

The set consists of a Mercedes-AMG F1 W12 E Performance and AMG Project One and 2 driver minifigures, each with a racing helmet. It includes interchangeable driver numbers for both Lewis (44) and Valtteri (77). This Speed Champions set comes with printed and digital building instructions. Available in the free LEGO Building Instructions app for smartphones and tablets, the interactive digital guide comes with amazing zoom and rotate tools that allow you to visualize a model from all angles as you build. Important note: We do not control this inventory and cannot currently make changes to it. Use it as a guide to the contents of the set, or to find out part numbers when requesting replacements. I’m a new Formula 1 fan, so I’m stoked to see Lego return to the sport. The F1 car looks marvelous, and I’m sure is the reason most will buy this set, but the other car is no slouch either.

This stylish fin is ingeniously assembled using a 2x6x4 vertical stabiliser, attached with Technic pins and partially hidden inside the body. Plates and tiles are then fitted sideways beside the fin, closing any gaps. The entire structure slots together seamlessly and colourful elements, such as the red 1x1 round tile with bar shown below, are concealed when the bodywork is finished. Speed Champions occasionally features minifigures inspired by real people, although the yellow skin tone traditionally associated with original characters remains. Nevertheless, this Formula 1 driver is certainly based upon Lewis Hamilton, featuring an appropriate hair piece and head for the British driver. The bearded element also portrayed Lewis in 75883 Mercedes AMG Petronas Formula One Team. The building set (officially numbered LEGO 76909) has got 564 pieces, and includes interchangeable driver numbers for both Lewis (44) and Valtteri (77). Quality in focus – LEGO® components meet strict industry standards to ensure they're consistent, compatible and fun to build with Driver position. Don't agree that it couldn't be done better at this scale. I already did a first approach of a new design and it works.
