About this deal

Einstein the Penguin is the debut children’s novel for Iona Rangeley, aptly brought to life with the help of the award-winning illustrator, David Tazzyman. A lovely mix of whodunnit with a slightly preposterous story of a penguin who comes to live with our two heroes, Imogen (age 9) and Arthur (age 6), causing them to put aside their sibling squabbles and come to his rescue. Rangeley manages to pull at your heartstrings as you come to understand each of the characters’ insecurities, bringing together the fear of losing a friend with the loneliness associated with never having had one. The grown-ups are scatty at best and young readers will love it as our heroes come to put one over on them. So, if you are looking for top recommended books for your Year 2 children, our specially selected reading list has got you covered with books that haveall been carefully matched to the age, developmental stage and interest level of children in Year 2. In " The Old Blue Mayor She Ain't What She Used to Be", in the year 2022 Marge and Homer walk through a hall dedicated to her political career. Marge suggests skipping one exhibit that they come near, but Homer points out they have to pass through it to get to the building's cafeteria. They then walk through the exhibit that revealed that she was impeached and Quimby was reinstated as the Mayor of Springfield. Three short stories involving a terror toddler named Zara together with Marge who is of the opinion that Zara maybe a pirate - and yes, she might be right! The second story involves mayhem at the local swimming pool and last of all, much to Jemima's anxiety as she is a bridesmaid, at a wedding. Meet Marge, the mischievous babysitter with rainbow hair who loves to make a mess and bend the rules… At dinnertime Chef Marge cooks up chocolate soup, and at school Marge the Musician conducts a chaotic concert in the playground!

Three separate adventures, all based on the rainbow-haired babysitter looking after Jemima and Jake, and this time, baby Zara joins the fun and havoc. As shown in " Kill Gil: Vols. 1 & 2", Marge has trouble saying "no". As shown when she was about 7, Patty and Selma told Marge to hide their cigarettes in her dollhouse. She refused and got stuffed into the dollhouse. Again tales of Marge’s expeditions including sharing shampoo with an orang-utan called Oscar were an absolute highlight. These books were awesome. Written by Isla Fisher and illustrated by Eglantine Ceulemans, each book contains 3 wonderful stories. Isla Fisher's fantastic story telling is perfectly complimented by Eglantine Ceulemans' illustrations. As a child, Katherine loved to count. She counted the steps on the road, the number of dishes and spoons she washed in the kitchen sink, everything! Boundless, curious, and excited by calculations, young Katherine longed to know as much as she could about maths, about the universe . . .Politically, Marge generally aligns with the Both Parties but since she ran for the Republican Party in " The Old Blue Mayor She Ain't What She Used to Be" she most likely is a Republican. And she once said that she voted for Ronald Reagan and also supported the candidacy of their state's progressive governor Mary Bailey who was never stated to be a Democrat or Republican or independent but is most likely a Democrat, and also claimed to have been extremely depressed when Lyndon B. Johnson passed away. She also ran once for the Republican Party during the mayoral elections, however, appears to be a Republican, unlike Lisa who's a liberal progressive Democrat.

Rupert Simpson • Lambert Simpson • Winifred Running Goat • Humphrey Little Goat • Jane Nervous Goat Tigger is now at the age where he is a confident reader. Having always expressed an interest in books, following in his sister footsteps. I often find them reading a book or a magazine together – which melts my heart. So when it comes to adding new books to our bookshelves, I’m always looking for something that will appeal to both of them. The new Isla Fisher Marge book collection offersa trio stories within each book that really stood out for me. BBC. (2000). ' The Simpsons': America's First Family (6-minute edit for the season 1 DVD) (DVD). UK: 20th Century Fox. Children at this age are often able to handle an increasing complexity of themes, including learning to empathisewhere characters experience a range of emotions and new experiences. Year 2 teachers often look to introduce stories that explore emotions, like Milo’s Monster, or books that open discussions into wider social themes like The Emerald Forest or The Proudest Blue.Close Friend/Neighbor): While Ned and Marge are close friends, there have been instances that show they might be attracted to each other. In " The Devil Wears Nada", she suddenly gets aroused when she sees Ned's shirt wet, and they almost kiss twice. In one episode that shows a montage of characters future deaths, it shows that after Homer dies, she eventually got married to Ned (and then she dies sometime later).
