This one was delightful. The age difference between myself and the target audience was not at all an issue for enjoyment. I loved this book so much as a young teen, I read it over and over and over. This is probably the book that started me off on my lifelong love of fantasy, together with Watership Down. The project is based on the books, rather than The Secrets of NIMH animated movie directed by Don Bluth that came out in 1982. It is the latest attempt to reboot the story, with the likes of Neil Burger, Michael Berg and the Russo Brothers previously attached to turn it into a feature film. Mrs. Frisby made me realize how many strong single mother figures I had in stories and entertainment as a child.
