The grip on the rear of the handle comes in the form of lots of dimples compared to the ridges on the 2000. A toothbrush with a whitening mode or a whitening brush head is not guaranteed to give whitening results. We previously had a Oral-B Professional Care 3000 but after two years the Ni-MH batteries where very bad so I got new ones under warranty. Now two years later I am happy to see that Oral-B use Li-Ion batteries which have such a better life. Although not present in all electric toothbrushes Oral-B manufacture, the vast majority have what Oral-B call a professional timer.

Brushing your teeth with too much force can, over time, wear away at your tooth enamel, leaving you susceptible to sensitive teeth or tooth decay. A handy feature of the Pro 2500 is the visible pressure sensor that flashes if you happen to apply too much force when brushing. The red flashing light is clearly visible but you can also test it out yourself, just by applying some pressure to the brush head with your finger to see the light flash on. Cleaning Performance. This brush has been entirely redesigned and uses a different motor within the handle in comparison to most other Oral-B electric toothbrushes. At the front of the electric toothbrush handle, close to its base there are two icons. One is the battery indicator light and the other is the charging icon. I will discuss this more in detail later. The Oral-B Pro 2 2500 Electric Toothbrush comes with a travel case where you can store the electric toothbrush handle and two electric toothbrush heads. It is a pretty simple construction however it has some neat design features. The Pro 2 2900 handles have a larger rubber grip on the front of the handle that the Pro 3900 does not have. Hi Luke. My version does not do this, nor do other Oral-B models turn themselves off automatically (iO Series being an exception). Brushing for the full 2 minutes is very important, but just as important, if not more so, is using the right technique. Make sure you learn how to brush your teeth properly — you don’t use an electric brush in the same way you do a manual. The visible pressure sensor will alert you when you are brushing too hard

The CrossAction brush that comes with the Pro 2500 is a great all round cleaning head that is probably the best choice for most people, if you have specific requirements, however, you can explore the whole range of cleaning heads below – For the vast majority of us, a single cleaning mode, the standard Daily Clean mode is perfectly sufficient.

The good news is that the price differences between the two models (at the time of writing) is less than that. This link will take you to the user manual. You will see that the 2 modes are Daily Clean and Sensitive on the handle type 3766, which is the one you get with the Pro 2 2500. Reply You will get 56 minutes of cleaning which is two weeks worth of brushing twice a day for 2 minutes. The battery life is much better because of the lithium ion battery. Should I leave the Oral-B Pro 2 2500 charging after every use? If you take a look at the very bottom of the brush, although it stands upright, you will find a recess into which the inductive charger fits. After 2 minutes the alert changes slightly to tell you that you have brushed for long enough. Unlike some brushes, the Pro 2 doesn’t power off automatically. This may be a disappointment to some, but it’s not a big issue.

When you suggest it wobbles, is it quite pronounced or very minor? The heads should not really wobble as such. The configuration of each ‘Dental Care Journey’ is different. However, each one enables and disables different cleaning modes on the toothbrush handle. Another plus point of the Pro 2500 is that it is compatible with Oral-B’s wide range of toothbrush heads. Oral-B has developed a complete range of cleaning heads to cater for personal taste and specialty requirements. In fact, Oral -B can boast the largest selection of specialty cleaning heads on the market, with a compatible brush for every Oral requirement. Hi Jon . . . Just a question following my comments. I’ve got two slightly wobbly teeth, I’m wondering if an electric toothbrush will loosen them further? I would add that I do visit my dentist every 3 months so I’m not neglecting my teeth. He tells me that the loose ones often firm-up again and I have found that to be the case. But I don’t want to find that an electric brush whizzes so fast that I’ll be minus two teeth within days haha! Reply Design aside, they do the same job. When the sensor is activated they both light up red to alert you that you are brushing too hard. Reduce the pressure and the lights go out. This is shown within the app during the setup process of that journey. But it is not very obvious. You have to tap on a part of the screen to reveal more information.
