About this deal

The signature Salty Vanilla base comes through after the fruiter notes but it’s not as strong as in other versions of Olympéa. I'm a huge fan of Olympea. It's salty-vanillic marine vibe, impressive sillage and even more impressive longevity have made it one of my all time favorite perfumes and a go-to nighttime fragrance for all seasons. I loved the idea of Olympea Solar, and on paper, it sounds incredible. I was able to test this fragrance, and I was surprised by how little of an impression it made on me. |There was someone beside me at the cashier that had sampled this perfume , the way the wind projected this scent from meters away , was amazing , very nice sweet candy like fruity yummy but also something that gave it a luxurious caramel salt vibe , it was so good I had to walk to the perfume area and somehow I guessed correctly .

A perfume ‘extract’ is a stronger, more concentrated perfume compared to an ‘Eau de Parfum’. The scent only comes in a 30ml size because it is so concentrated. As with other people here I was trapped into the hype and marketing and blind-bought hoping for something amazing. At first spray I loved it. Though it reminded me of my local mall it also brought warm fuzzy memories. Possibly the salt and warm vanilla reminds me of the pretzel stand right next to the chocolate/ice cream shop? And jasmine is usually such a comforting scent to me.We were in summer, I sniffed the empty bottle she left behind, I almost took it with me that's how much I liked it. i wouldn’t call this a gourmand but something about it feels like it. it’s a stunning perfume. it can be too sweet for some but I think the sweetness is incredible and works wonderful here. This is definitely an interesting floral- the salty note and ambergris keep things interesting as you're left guessing what the notes may be, but the influence of vanilla in the dry down turns this jasmine floral sweet, almost gourmand, but not quite- that salty note and bit of ginger step in. As the world morned the passing of Paco Rabanne in 2023, a new flanker called Olympéa Flora was released.

These are different, but there are some similarities with beachy sweetness. AG has a more forward jasmine, while OS has a more forward tiare. Both are quite sweet, with well above average performance. An immediate sensation of transporting you to a place full of light; to a shiny spot on a radiant day. Paco Rabanne Olympéa Intense is a deeper, warmer, Amber version of the original perfume. The Amber combines well with the Vanilla and Salt notes to create what is indeed a more intense version of Olympéa. The orange peel, blossom and mandarin combo in the opening is bomb. It's a very fresh, juicy mix of orange & mandarin. You can really feel the peel notes coming through. Very summery. These are different, but there are some similarities, especially in the drydowns. OS has a more forward tiare and beachy quality not found in HP. While HP has a more forward almond. As it dries down, OS becomes more similar to HP although it retains the beachy quality throughout. Both have well above average performance.

I fell in love with this perfume a few years ago, whilst I was still in college. It was one of the first name brand perfumes I ever bought for myself, and had since sparked my love for vanilla and salt in fragrances - there just seems to be something that works with my chemistry. SWEET, CREAMY & SOLAR Tiare Flower with Powdery Orange-Blossom. Perhaps Paco Rabanne's answer to the Alien Goddess craze, this beauty doesn't bear much in common with the original Olympea. Opens with a burst of citrus & orange-blossom with sweet, powdery & tropical facets, that deepens into a floral heart of tiare supported by solar notes & oakmoss, with buttery, beachy & sweet nuances, all resting on a ylang-benzoin base. Aldehydes & oakmoss here are less prominent than the notes would suggest, and overall I get a sweet, beachy tiare-flower & powdery orange-blossom scent over a sweet balsamic benzoin base. Reminders for me of Alien Goddess Mugler, Dolce Garden Dolce&Gabbana and Hypnotic Poison Dior. It’s essentially a slightly warmer, slightly fruiter version of the original scent. The top notes are Plum and Apricot which work well with the Salty Vanilla to create a sweet warmth. Olympéa Legend is probably the most popular fragrance in the Olympéa range, however it has now been discontinued.

If you’ve had the opportunity to try Jean Paul Gaultier Divine, Juliette Has a Gun Vanilla Vibes, Maison Margiela fragrances Beach Walk, & Mugler Alien Goddess - you will LOVE Olympea. Olympea from 2015, Olympea Aqua from 2016, Olympea Intense from 2016, Olympea Aqua Eau de Parfum Legere from 2018, Olympea Legend from 2019, Olympea Onyx Collector Edition from 2020, Olympea Blossom from 2021, and the newest Olympea Solar from 2022. I swear though, if they had managed to keep that “sorbet accord” from the first 10-15 seconds for longer through the fragrance... this would be a very different review.
