Turn on ignition and wait approx 30 seconds for the kit to turn on. Press and hold for 2 to 3 seconds the RED and GREEN buttons on the remote at the SAME TIME. You will hear “Memory Erasing in Progress”, after which the MKi9000 will re-boot. After it has powered up again, press the centre button to select English (or other language by rotating jog wheel) as the required language. It will then re-boot once more. Proceed to Stage 2. With the recent launch of ios 10, 11 and 12 a few users are reporting an issue where the iphone would work correctly with the Parrot MKi9000 / MKi9100 and MKi9200 when using ios 9, but since the upgrade to ios 10, 11 or 12 the phone connects / disconnects / connects / disconnects.

Would recommend updating the Mki9200 to V2.11 or V2.20 version. You will need to update to V1.96 first. There was a batch of MKi9100s with a tolerance problem on the dislay connector molding. It is easy enough to cure. Would think you have old devices still paired with the MKi9200 and it is still searching for them, which is why connection takes so long.Do not bother with version 2.00 firmware as it had bad echo problems on handsfree – these should be updated to V2.11 or V2.20. Help please I have an iPhone 14 pro max and it won’t connect to Mki9200. My daughter has same phone n hers connects fine I have tried rebooting my phone doing the setting and completely wiping it n. Still it won’t pair properly. Once I turn the car off the pairing is no longer and no music ever plays.

This is an odd one. I replaced the Mki9200 BlueBox as the mic connection went on the old one. It’s SW_3.2. Bluetooth works fine. iPhone 8. The USB also charges the phone too. All good except for couple of behaviour changes. The MKi9200 will now re-boot. Please note that sometimes it will refuse to erase memory. Simply turn off the MKi9200 and try again. My MKI9200 was having errors occurring so parrot told me to reset and then add the update. It’s now completely crashed with once screen in French. And I have no idea how to fix it… can you help? I actually followed the update guide and it trashed the parrot….. For file transfer, I am not surprised that this does not work as have over the years found very few Android phones that support this feature. If you have this problem the kit will turn off and then re-boot if the display is moved slightly (it will feel loose in the holder). After the re-boot it may be necessary to set the language version again. Simply select the required language from the listed options and press remote control centre button to set the language. The MKi9200 will then re-boot again. Would have been easier to repair the mic connection – just needs re-soldering to PCB. It is a surface mount part and have done it on many Parrot control boxes – a common issue. After that, before pairing the iPhone again go into Settngs / Bluetooth / Pair with Phone and select AT Sync mode. then pair again and see if any better.

The MKi9000 has an optional setting to disable phonebook sync when pairing a phone though this needs to be explicitly activated before pairing. Will need to dig though old data to see how it is setup. There are 2 fuses fitted to the MKI9000: One in permanent 12V and the other on the ignition 12V connections. So I did a factory reset on the Parrot and my iPhone and still the same issue exists. Tried every troubleshooting guide I can find but can’t find the answer. Any idea? I have a Parrot MKi9100 and the problem I have is that the screen is blank it won’t power up when I turn the ignition on it’s just a blank screen. I’ve tried new batteries in the remote but still nothing. Thanks On the MKi9200 go into Settings / Advanced / Restore Factory Settings and confirm the reset with the Green key on the remote. The MKi9200 will erase memory and re-boot. After re-boot set the required language by pressing the centre button on the Parrot remote. The unit will then re-start once more. Update Procedure You can try disconnecting the power and re-connecting again after 10 to 15 mins but this only works very occasionally. If the firmware is earlier than v1.96 you will need to update to this version first and then can go to later ones: V2.11 or V2.20 are both fine
