THIS PART CONTAINS MAJOR SPOILERS — READ AT YOUR OWN DISCRETION. okay now that we got that out the way. why why why did the author make Cassie cheat on Luke with Toby? i hate the cheating trope, so the fact that it happened throughout almost the whole book was horrible. i understand that Cassie and Luke had a fake marriage; but they were still married. and when Cassie started developing real feelings for Luke, she just continued to be with Toby. that made sense how? i understand that in the beginning, Cassie was serious about Toby and only Toby… but the minute she started feeling something for Luke, she should’ve ended things with Toby (or maybe never start something to begin with????). i also think it’s weird how Luke was just, okay with it? again, i understand the marriage was fake but they were still trying to convince everyone. i don’t understand why he was okay with everything. Luke was immediately found guilty and sentenced to six months in a military prison and would be discharged from the marines for bad conduct. This meant that the charges were withdrawn against Cassie and she could carry on living her life. What happened to Frankie? Armando was cute, they were all cute, but the guy next to him had broad shoulders and dark hair barely visible on a close-shaved head. Built like a wire. Long-lashed eyes and pouty lips.
