About this deal

Please Note: We recommend that this flow diverter is fitted by a qualified professional to ensure safe and proper use. Not knowing which radiator you have but in the past have known some designer type radiators where the same radiator can be fitted vertically or horizontally, when horizontally fitted the baffle needs complete removal. I see your logic Ryluer and I have no way of knowing whether something like that has been built into the rad. Thing is the plug half way along would have to be at the bottom only wouldn't it, which would mean there is a top and a bottom which there there appears not to be.

In practice when we are in the new lounge we often have the door to the original lounge open allowing a free flow of air between the two rooms. The powerful radiators in the original lounge supply heat to the new room when the door is open. The door to the kitchen is often open too so all three rooms have their temperature averaged out.Not at all DA, wondering that myself, but I have no way of knowing, no indication on the rad and the documentation said nothing. I'm expecting a chat with a person from Reina sometime, I'll raise it then. This means that if we install the radiator, then hot water will be entering on the side which is farthest from the baffle as shown below. BTW pretty sure there were no instructions. These things might be expensive "designer" stuff that look ok but at the end of the day they are a load of tubes welded together and nothing like a conventional radiator. I'm thinking that its either faulty or just **** design. Theres no way that I'm getting anywhere near 8,000 btu from it.

So what gives? Has there been a design change? Surely with 2 hoses going in from the top, it can't cool properly. Each supplier had one or two different styles in a few sizes. So size, to some degree, determined the style and cost. Description of My Vertical Radiator

If I look through the two horizontal pipes ( at the top and bottom ends), on one side, I can see through the pipe and on the other I cannot ( as I think there is a baffle). I want to know which side do the stop end and bleed valve go ( see through side or baffled side) and which side do the flow and return pipes go? Hi Ive never posted on a forum before, so please forgive any errors on my behalf, I have recently had 4 radiators replaced for new column radiators, fitted by a local plumber, the old ones heated up fine, to such an extent that you could not really touch them, however the new radiators barely warm up, none of them get what I would label as hot, the plumber noted that the radiators all needed balancing, but even after that being completed they still only get warm, the plumber tells me that's as good as it gets, but I cant understand that, as they heated up perfectly well before, the pump is on the highest setting and is working, so i'm now wishing I had left the very old ones in place, we rushed to get the radiators changed as we were having new carpets fitted which has now been done. The hood itself has a raised lip at the front of the openings to create turbulence, which creates low pressure and actually draws the air out of the engine compartment or the chimney, and that helps the air flow out from behind the radiator more efficiently and adds about 30 pounds of downforce, too. This header must be fitted at the bottom thus the rad becomes fully pumped and fully balanced as it becomes a reverse return set up. Very clever.
