About this deal

Lionel Messi has been named the world's best player EIGHT times, but who would have won the Ballon d'Or if... Kevin Magnussen's car bursts into FLAMES after huge crash at Mexico Grand Prix - as the race is red-flagged and Haas star is driven to the medical centre Sinfield is not just running it, either: he is pushing Burrow all the way round in a custom-made wheelchair. That is 26.2 miles of unimaginable strength from both but, perhaps more important, it conveys the friendship between the pair. But my suffering as a fan is small potatoes compared to what Rob Burrow and his family have faced through the last couple of years. I think it says a lot about the rugby league community that despite our team rivalries, we'll always look after our own when it comes down to it. Rob mentions that so many fans of other teams have gone on to pass on their well-wishes, give him money, even do their own ridiculous challenges to raise awareness for his cause. Sir Bobby Charlton remembered with moving tributes and minute of applause at Old Trafford ahead of the Manchester derby

Max Verstappen's model girlfriend is left unimpressed as he's BOOED after winning the US Grand Prix - but the Dutchman remains unfazed by the reaction It has felt strangely natural to reflect on the inevitability of death not long after Rob has grinned at the revelation that when one of his old teammates, Barrie McDermott, the imposing former prop, visits him he ends up laughing so much that he cannot stop farting at the same time. Aaron Ramsdale admits he fears for his place in the England squad ahead of next summer's Euros after losing his No 1 spot at Arsenal Jakub Jankto, who became the first current international player to come out as gay, says he is 'really happy' he can now play 'without hiding or being scared' Jose Mourinho is SENT OFF for goading Monza's bench and labelling them cry babies after Stephan El Shaarawy scores Roma's late winner

Barcelona reveal CGI footage of their 'insane' stadium's renovation plans which includes a complete upper-tier reconstruction and new Spotify-branded roof Rob’s moving memoir, about his rugby career and his extraordinary resolve as he fights against MND, is published this week. “I’m a bit nervous about the launch because I don’t like to be in the spotlight,” he says. “But I know that, afterwards, it won’t seem as intense as I expected.” Footage of Kylian Mbappe slow clapping Man City striker Erling Haaland at the Ballon d'Or awards leaves fans in stitches as he cuts a glum figure I used to love reading to my own children as part of their bedtime routine. I was so excited and honoured to be given the opportunity to read a CBeebies Bedtime Story. — Rob Burrow This book is sad and difficult to read in places. However, if you are a rugby league fan of any team, this will interest you. He tells of his life playing for Leeds Rhinos and the ups and downs of his very successful career.

Due to the subject matter and even though Rob try’s to keep everything up beat, some parts are highly emotional. More so the day when he is told his diagnosis and how his parents responded when they were told. I don’t know this family but my heart literally broke. As a parent, hearing Rob’s thoughts on how he would miss out on his children’s lives and how upsetting it was knowing that his youngest probably wouldn’t even be able to remember him, it’s so hard to even comprehend. What’s worse is that there is very little funding going in to finding a cure which is a hard pill to swallow for not only sufferers but for their family and friends.I dread the day I leave Lindsey and the kids behind. But I don’t process that thought because that’s when you give up. I have no intention of thinking that way. I firmly believe a cure is possible – or at least a treatment that stalls the progression.” The rest of that consultation is a blur. I don’t remember Lindsey asking how long I had to live. I don’t remember the consultant saying I had a year or two. Anwar El Ghazi is suspended by Mainz over pro-Palestine post as the Bundesliga side insist the now-deleted update goes against the 'values of the club'

MAN UNITED CONFIDENTIAL: Aaron Wan-Bissaka in limbo as contract talks stall, Andre Onana faces an AFCON...Arsenal fan Andy Murray joins Gary Lineker and Gary Neville in dismissing the handball call given against William Saliba at Chelsea There is a lot about his childhood and his determination to play rugby even though everyone thought he was too small. Not being a lover of rugby, I probably didn’t appreciate those parts as much as someone who is a lover of the sport would do but there are various funny moments throughout his career with his constant pranks with his team mates that made it compelling reading. We’ve made some slight adjustments to his chair, which I wouldn’t say make it aerodynamic, but hopefully more comfortable for him. Less so for me, but does that even matter? We had some fun last time and we’ll have even more this weekend. There’s no pressure over time, for once. stars for me because unless you are very familiar with rugby league it can become a list of matches and competitions ("we won this, we then lost this, we then won this when nobody expected us to") and that might be a struggle for newcomers. However, definitely worth a read anyway as the love and care all the contributors have for one another shines through.
