This was at least the second time Phil and Lil had been to Las Vegas. It was mentioned in " The Last Babysitter" that Betty took them there one weekend, but they don't seem to remember. This could have been due to the writer's content. Note: This DVD set was originally labeled as Season 2, despite not containing the full season. It was retitled The Best of Season 2 in 2011. Another title, Great Minds Think Alike!, is scheduled for release on January 25, 2022, based on the episode by the same name. A fifth title, a coloring and activity book titled Colors Are Everywhere!, is slated for publication on May 3, 2022. The only places to watch this episode legally are the Decade in Diapers DVD and Volume 2 Video, the Rugrats Vacation VHS, the Season 4 DVD and the Complete Series set.

The Rugrats take a vacation to Las Vegas (or as the kids like to call it, "Slots Vegas") with their parents and end up on a series of misadventures in the hotel complex where they're staying. These include chaos at the buffet, running amok through the casinos and getting to pet the "giant kittens" (actually tigers) owned by magicians Hemlic and Bob. - Description from Klasky Csupo Plot [ ] The majority of the voice actors of the Rugrats from the original series returned to reprise their roles, with the only exception being Kimi as she is now voiced by Charlet Chung due to her original voice actor Dionne Quan retiring from voice acting. At the pool scene, notice that Drew and Chas aren’t wearing their glasses. This is probably because they didn't want to get their glasses wet in the pool.

The Viking Hotel may be a reference to the now-defunct Normandie Motel in Downtown Las Vegas. While the motel itself is no longer standing, its sign, modeled after a medieval halberd, still stands, and has an "Elvis slept here" caption. The sign/logo was designed by Betty Willis; she'd later be known for designing the famous Welcome to Fabulous Las Vegas sign. This is the first direct-to-video episode of the series. The video release also includes " Ice Cream Mountain" and " Graham Canyon".
