About this deal

The Titan S are a neutral-bright pair of IEMs. They have a more marked sub-bass roll-off but are more analytical and technical than the Star River. As a matter of fact, the Titan S are a cut above when it comes to imaging, micro-detailing, clarity, and instrument separation. Easy nozzle-based tonality customizability is surely a good bet, in principle, which is made even better by a correct execution as in EA500’s case. Tonal coherence, also, is well carried out." Read The Jasper cant quite keep up with the 3D stage of the EA500 both are excellent but I give the nod to the SIMGOT here.

Simgot EW200 Review: I’d take it over the EA500 : r/headphones Simgot EW200 Review: I’d take it over the EA500 : r/headphones

I love her voice and the way it is recorded listen for the strums on the guitar - I have seen Ms. Chapman live a few times; so In my mind, I try and remember how she sounds like 5ft from me as I was blessed to experience) Yet again Simgot has proved that they know the business of IEMs tuning. Like the predecessors which I personally loved, this EA500 was easy to like from the get go. The sound itself being faithful to traditional dynamic drivers neutral organic timbre, with some hint of modern vibrancy. Texture is good, but certain competing IEMs offer more texture at the expense of the “grunt” that the EA500 showcase. This is one of the trade-offs you must make in the budget range. Midrange Simgot is not the most well-known of Chinese brands, but they have had their fair share of notoriety with some decent to good iems since their genesis. Sets like the Simgot EN700 Pro (among others) reached some pretty notorious acclaim but it’s the newer sets which have gotten the hobbyists reeling nowadays. Starting off with the lower budget tier with the set I’m reviewing today, the EA500, and going up in price to the EN1000 and the EA2000. We have seen quite a bit of solid substantiated buzz and truthfully for anyone that has had their finger on the pulse of the hobby of late, I’m not telling you anything you don’t know. The point is, Simgot is on to something special with ridiculously good build quality, designs and most importantly the sound quality within their latest line of iems. Brouhaha? Honestly, I enjoy most of the male vocals that I hear, especially on a song like “ Broken Halos” by Chris Stapleton. His voice has great southern gusto and good presence with a distinctness and the EA500 does well to replay his naturally edgy vocal delivery. It does his voice great justice and displays Chris’s edgy, raspy, but distinct sound so very well. It sounds clean and just forward enough to illuminate the scratchy, strident and coarse southern richness of his voice while adding just enough boisterous underlying levity to the harmonics. The inflection in his voice is precise and timely as the accentuated wave like intonations that Chris sings with stays at the foreground of the melody and balances nicely with how I envision this recording was meant to be heard. Males cont…The lower midrange is neutral. This region is pretty transparent on the least bassy switch, though the bassier options add mid-bass bleed, which may encroach into the mids. I have a different take and it all revolves around the fact that in this hobby everyone is always right. These “gushing posts” are kind of like personal testimonies if you will. The truth to their claims is only true to themselves. Whether you are a seasoned reviewer with audiophile understanding and endless audio knowledge or you are a newbie, fresh in the hobby. Neither are wrong.Today we are looking at and examining the latest of the hype trains and I hope to relay my truth to all of you. SIMGOT included two sets of detachable nozzles that are easy to remove and install. Each variant will provide a different tone and presentation.

The eartips which come with the EA500 are decent in build and pretty useful. Simgot provides three pairs of opaque white tips (S, M, L). They are semi-wide bore with a moderately firm flange. Of course, I couldn’t use the included tips in my ears, I just don’t get that good seal. The Simgot EA500 is a solid choice for those seeking a high-quality, yet affordable. The polished alloy shells may be prone to smudging, but their premium construction and comfortable fit make up for it." Read The Dunu Kima are warmer, denser in note weight, and even more relaxed in the treble region. Midrange also sounds more articulated in comparison. They do not show the grain or unevenness of the EA500 due to a more muted treble response. The tuning switches on the Star River do not hold water! Caveat emptor! Two of the tuning switches are switcheroos! The nozzles with the red ring offer more bass and are aimed at the H-2016 target response from the low end and up through the upper mids.

The interior is lightly dampened but it seems the intent was to allow as much of the metal interior to play a part in the sound and tonality offering.

SIMGOT EA500 Review - Audio Science Review (ASR) Forum

Customers have to bear any form of custom/import/processing fees that are applicable for your parcel. The EA500 has this uncanny ability to create nice layers within the imaginary stage that I hear. There is a sense of space, that’s for sure. However, inside that space is distinct and partitioned off elements of that stage which sound as though they are localized fixtures and sit isolated in their own little space. So, Separation is great, which brings us naturally to imaging. Imaging The upper mids are not shouty at all and it does very well in terms of giving the female vocal a slight boost In keeping with the V-shaped profile, the lower midrange is recessed. The previously mentioned mid-bass bleed warms this area, though the midrange is opaque due to the bass encroachment. What’s impressive about the EA500’s midrange is its dynamic range. It can convey a wide range of emotions, from bright and cheerful to sombre and melancholy. The mids have a captivating quality that draws the listener in, with layers of nuance and detail that reveal themselves over time. The headphone cavity is processed through high-density alloy metal melting & casting and CNC fine engraving. The body is sturdy and durable. The inner surface is subtle uneven, which can effectively suppress standing wave and provide a clear sound floor.Complemented by mirror plating technology, the earphone body is elegant as an art piece. Stable And Reliable 2-Pin Detachable Design But beware; source is having a huge effect on the result, as dx300 and Gold on the Ceiling told me so. Midrange When comparing these two the first thing I notice is that the EA500 is a little more on the bright or neutral side whereas the Olina is a slight bit warmer. The bass of the EA500 does carry about the same quantity of bass oomph and slam as the Olina but the EA500 seems as though it may hit with a titch more authority. I believe this is a deception though, due to the stark difference from the brighter contrast of the EA500 upper frequencies against the warmer and hearty bass, it simply sounds more authoritative. In fact, it sounds as though the EA500 has the more dynamic and energetic bass region because of this. In truth it is very hard to like one more than the other. Both hit plenty hard, and both represent the bass rather well for the price point. Midrange

Simgot EA500 Review - Prime Audio Reviews

If there is only one tunable DD king at the budget segment, the Simgot EA500 easily take the throne. Vs. DUNU Titan S Finally, I will only evaluate the EA500 based on their performance, even though I will explain how it feels and seems physically and aesthetically. Overall, EA500 is solid in materials, has restrained tuning, and provides the option of changing nozzles. With a not-so-high price point, it can be a great choice for users who want a high price-to-quality ratio. Next, apart from the pinpointly accurate imaging, the detail retrieval that this IEM possseses were also one of the key strength. Despite it would not render subtle nuances and microdetails delicately, this IEM is still capable to dish out tons of macrodetails and high-level textures out of your music, which does unsurprisingly dulls out when equipping the red nozzle. Separation and layering was also seems to be well-executed in separating vocals from other elements similar to its bigger brother the EN1000. But avoid all of such praises fool you, occasionally while the vocals between passages were separated, other instruments/precussions poorly tend to meld and layered onto each other.I thought it was actually a really cool design for a portable music player, with those slight curves on the top left and bottom right, but the top right and bottom left were standard right angles! Hey, SIMGOT! Design a portable music player that looks like that for me! This applies for most countries. However, large items such as headphones and desktop DAC/AMPs (e.g. HarmonicDyne G200, MUSICIAN MDP-2, and etc.) are excluded. The four-core, Litz braided, 5N oxygen-free, copper-plated silver cable is thin and tangly, with some microphonics. There’s a chin cinch for added stability during use. This is a preference thing, if you like the general sound of a good IEM without it being a specialized product aimed to be good at a few things, then opt for the red ring. They are the generalist sound type. I saw these IEM's and what can I say there is a special place in my heart for full on metal shells, it certainly does something special for the IKKO Obsidian OH10 and the same exact thing can be said for the EA500!
