Like the SnoozeShade and Dolfiachy canopy cover, the Brolex is fitted directly to your travel crib and has a smaller footprint than the Slumberpod. A larger carry bag for easy transport - A larger carrying bag with enough room for your SlumberPod and a SlumberPod Fan or a white noise machine or monitor. The Milliard darkening sleep tent is very similar to the SnoozeShade. The design is pretty much the same. A few days after I returned from a two-week vacation in Mexico (where my 8 month old slept through every single night and many naps in his SlumberPod) I decided to open up the SlumberPod and found an odd, musty smell coming from it. I then confirmed that my brother-in-law also had the same issue. I can only assume that the humidity from the Mexican heat got in the material and stayed there even though our rooms were air conditioned. Bottom line is that all you need to do is air it out once you get home.

Keep in mind that SlumberPod takes more space than the crib in a hotel room, so you need to have space for it – rooms must be big. While it will work great for villas, suites and big rooms around the US, most hotel rooms in Europe are pretty small – even a crib is a tight fit in many places. That said, I don’t see SlumberPod fitting in various hotels. We know that doctors provide better, safer care when they are fresh and alert. We have found [the pods] to be very popular with staff and also very effective in helping them get more rest,” said Field, a former GP. I was using the SlumberPod way before they went on Shark Tank and got a deal from Barbara – ok, enough bragging. Katy Mallory is co-founder of SlumberPod®. Professionally, Katy has worked for more than a decade in corporate communications and sales operations. As the oldest of 15 children (a modern family tree with many branches), mom to three children, and with a deep babysitting history — Katy has a great deal of experience with kids and organized chaos. Katy lives with her husband, three young children, and two dogs in Decatur, Georgia (an in-town suburb of Atlanta). Keep in mind that it is completely free-standing and doesn’t attach to the playard or travel cot, which means it does not confine or entrap them. There is space left in between and the breathable fabric is so stretchy my toddler can easily pull it up off himself. Do you need a fan with SlumberPod?Includes designed box, multi-speed, lightweight USB fan with an 6.5-foot cord (US electrical plug included).

There’s also a spot you can place a baby monitor inside the pod, if you want to keep an extra eye on the baby. Pouch for a fan The Minnebaby is very comparable to the Milliard cover and comes in at about the same price which is about one-quarter of the price of the SlumberPod, making this baby sleep tent another great option for parents looking to spend less. In my experience, the SlumberPod can get warm on a hot day if the room is not climate controlled. I have found that opening all of the windows and having the fan on inside the pod will help reduce the temperature significantly. Maybe you are planning a weekend away this month but you’re not really sure when you will go away next. However, SlumberPod resolves this problem completely by giving babies a safe and secure sleeping bunker that keeps out light. Because of this, moms can let babies sleep in the same room as theirs. Not only will it help your child get the right amount of sleep, but it will also help you get your required rest. Pros M ini-cribs including Babyletto Mini Crib, Bloom Alma Mini-crib, DaVinci Emily 2-in1 Mini-crib, Dream On Me Aden 4-in-1, Delta Children portable crib, and LA Baby® The Original Bedside Manor Mini Crib. When you share a room with your baby or infant you may want to go about your night after he goes to bed. I found that a sound machine playing white noise helps create a sound barrier between the pod and the outside world so you can walk around, watch TV or play on your phone with the volume up while your baby sleeps away in the same room. In my opinion, the closes competitor is the SnoozeShade but they offer a different product altogether. I even made a detailed comparison of the SlumberPod vs Snoozeshade you want to know more about. I recently saw the SlumberPod up close and personal and it is made of such high-quality materials. It also passes all applicable consumer product safety tests for baby products.

Help is arriving for overworked NHS staff as a growing number of hospitals bring in sleep pods for doctors and nurses to grab power naps during their shifts. The design is not only unbelievably convenient, but also very safe. The sturdy frame and tear-resistant material make the Lotus one of the most durable and secure travel cribs available. I also love that it meets or exceed ASTM International safety standards.

Our 2 year old and 1 year old have shared a room for the past year, and those first few weeks no matter how much we yelled – they kept plaRying games and not going to sleep! There are a few other alternatives that you can find in my list here. Keep in mind they do not offer what the SlumberPod offers in terms of quality, accessories, options, and especially darkness inside the pod. If you are however looking for a cheaper alternative, they can come in very handy. SlumberPod FAQ How big is the SlumberPod? The SlumberPod’s design allows for easy setup on awide range of surfaces, from grass to sand to dirt. The tent’s bottomless feature means that you can place it over aportable crib or play yard, so your baby remains comfortable and protected from the outdoor elements. For additional stability, it’s agood idea to use the included tent stakes. Providing Shade and Ventilation The “User Manual” tag in the carry bag suggests that you lay the SlumberPod material over the playard, whereas in my version I choose to do it flat on the ground. Both ways work just fine and allow for one-person assembly in 2 minutes or less. Step 1
