To the best of my knowledge, the only way of doing that on a phone/tablet is with software like Control4 which is considerably more expensive than a universal remote. Note that when I had difficulties, I also tried it on my primary home theater system—a Roku TV with an Onkyo AV Receiver. Again, there were issues with switching inputs on the Roku TV. Worse still, the AV receiver model was not in the database. I tried to use the original remote to teach the hub the commands, but I quit when it didn't learn the power command. remote in just a couple hours. Recognized all my devices. Easy to tweak with delays, discrete power

I made sure I updated the SofaBaton right away, before trying to do anything else. The iOS software is decent - not great, but decent. When updating the remote I got a popup stating something along the lines of "do not reconnect to the remote for 5 minutes or you could corrupt things." That was a bit disconcerting, but otherwise things went fine. The X1 controls the Apple TV via Bluetooth, and works flawlessly. I was able to get it to operate both They also have improved the IR remote learning function. I have not had any issues finding a code for my devices, but I tried to teach the Sofabaton X1 commands, which worked for me this time. However, learning commands is still imperfect, requiring you to play with the remotes positioning. But the Sofabaton X1 was able to learn them successfully. Still Not Working Marantz SR7011, NAD S250 Amp, Behringer A800 Amp, MiniDSP DDRC-88A, M&K S-125 (LCR), M&K CS-29 (Surr), M&K SW-85 (Top), 2 x Arendal 1961 Sub 1S (Subs) Now that Logitech has officially announced the discontinuation of their Harmony range, can anybody suggest an alternative that might prove to be a better long-term option?By means of technological, Sofabaton has been dedicated to benefiting all new and old customers in remote control challenges since its establishment in 2015. History of Sofabaton Remote Control Another limitation I disliked is that the SofaBaton X1 has very limited support of IP-controlled devices. My Sony television is IP-controlled and can do IR if needed. The X1 will not control that TV via IP, and the documentation shows IP support for just a few devices.

Please keep your Phone in normal WiFi status while upgrading.Or it will go to error without poor WiFi,thank you for your understanding. I will agree that the updates are slow. I had an issue with my Hue lights and updated them and they told me “next week”. Well, a month later it dropped. But I am happy to say they now work! If they're not in the lists, you can manually learning the remote functions to the system via the hub.The app device add/repair button is synchronized to the remote control, and the remote control will display one more button;

Compared to the URC remote, setup for my system was a breeze, and the remote works perfectly. While the That is odd. I can mute and unmute my Onkyo with the same button. I would look at the programming and see if it’s set for the mute command. If that doesn’t work, you could set it for a short press for mute and a long press for unmute. The deal-breaker with the X1 occurred after adding my first device (an Integra receiver using IR). The IR signal from both the SofaBaton hub and the IR blaster is just super, super weak. So weak, in fact, that I think I may have had a defective unit. Unfortunately, Logitech Harmony, a reputable industry leader, has announced that it has abandoned the universal remote control business. Sofabaton, a group of hardcore fans of audio-visual products, decided to step forward as the new leaders of remote control devices and provide users better features, more convenience, and ultimate control for their components. But I really don’t consider that a “Fix”. And it isn’t anywhere near as useful and intuitive as Harmony’s Help button. In fact, I’ll bet you’re super confused from what I just wrote! So…yeah…try teaching THAT to your mom – hahaa different model/brand Ive used in the past. All of the buttons light up, making it easier to use in away the cables and receivers and control everything from behind closed cabinets and doors, also you can Lastly, I wish you could just hide the Devices menu option entirely. If you’re setting this up for someone else, they really need to only ever use Activities. But a lot of people still only think in terms of the old “universal remotes”, where you just chose one Device at a time. If they do that with the X1, it’s just going to get your Activities all out of sync. And like I’ve just described, that “Fix” function is a nightmare.
