samuelvictor That's my experience too, NES being totally ignored, Master System being the first popular console I can remember and Street Fighter II on SNES being a massive success because the arcade was a universal hit and the SNES port was great and arrived before any Mega Drive version, that were worse. The Master System was a great system, better graphics and sound than NES and cheaper. In October 2023, two of video gaming's biggest rivals will go head-to-head in a historic showdown pitting the platforming heroes and erstwhile rival mascots against each other in a manner that hasn't been this on-the-nose since the infamous console wars of the early '90s.Hoping for full RSDK remasters that are widescreen versions with more screen space than the Master System, but with the Game Gear’s strengths. Oh wow, haven't played ANY of the Game Gear Sonic games! (Have played some Master System ones) No idea what any of them are like but hopefully there's some gems among them... I know some people will have nostalgia for the Game Gear one (left) but in my opinion the Master System one (right) is objectively better and looks far closer to the 16bit sprite. Samba de Amigo: Party Central will be getting Sonic the Hedgehog content when it launches exclusively on Switch this summer. Sonic the Hedgehog fans and Lego builders alike can apparently look forward to some new blue blur sets arriving next year.I don't have problems with the Game Gear versions, they were my first Sonic games. But an option for the Master System version would be nice to have. The blue blur will be joining the maraca-shaking monkey on the stage with two Sonic songs — 'Escape from the City' from Sonic Adventure 2 and 'Fist Bump' from Sonic Forces. There's also a stage based... The Game Gear is basically a portable Master System, but with a much smaller screen, many games were released for both systems, and the main downside is how the Game Gear ports of Master System games constantly have a screen crunch that makes the game much worse.

Sega has announced it will be celebrating the blue blur's birthday this Friday with a brand new Sonic Central 2023 broadcast. Not buying this until it gets a physical release. As a hardcore MJ fan with a lot of respect for Sonic, but not a lot of history with his games, I’d have genuinely bought this on the strength of the original music alone. It’s a pass for me, I sincerely hope Sonic fans enjoy though!
