About this deal

Smart Jam is great but we see Auto Chords as a much bigger deal. This listens to a song of your choosing within the app, and if it doesn’t already have the chords for it on its database, it will analyse the song and transpose the chords for you to play along.

Playing along with a Smart Jam virtual band is fun and a great practice tool, and the Auto Chord feature does a remarkable job of displaying the correct chords from songs streamed from your library. I like that I can slow things down to practice the chord changes on parts of Jimi Hendix’s “Angel,” a song that I have always had trouble playing smoothly.I thought that it could be useful, for both we users and for Positive Grid staff, to have a single thread that gathers and lists all the issues the users are experiencing with the Spark Amp/App. And I mean real "issues", meaning things that do NOT work properly, with the phisical amp or the app. Therefore, no delay issues, or communication issues, or tones one is not satisfied with etc. :-) You can stream songs from your mobile device and using the Auto Chord feature, Spark will transpose the songs into chords so that you can play along The four banks of presets are arranged into seven amp types: Acoustic, Bass, Clean, Glassy, Crunch, Hi-Gain and Metal. TOP CONTROLS: Amp Type, Gain, Bass, Mid, Treble, Master, Mod, Delay, Reverb, Output Volume, Music Volume, four programmable Preset buttons, Tap/Tuner button

The Spark app is also bundled with a redeemable code for the PreSonus Studio One Primerecording software. Spark Amp Tones For those commencing their guitar journey, Auto Chords could be the top reason to buy the Spark Amp. The Spark claims to be able to listen to any song from Spotify, Apple Music and so on, and transpose the chords. Lots are already part of the library, but for others it’s just a case of linking your music streaming account to the Spark app. The barrel plug into the amp is: outside 5,5mm and inside 2,5mm. If this doesn't fit your amp, you have a different (later?) model TIPS:We also provide tuition, from bite-sized tips to advanced work-outs and guidance from recognised musicians and stars.

Aside from the headline-making connected features, this is essentially a 40W Class-D stereo practice amp. Inside sit a pair of 4-inch custom-designed speakers, and the frequency range spans from 20-20,000Hz. The sound is massive: it can get super-loud and, although the Spark Amp isn’t designed for gigging, is mighty enough to get you through any open mic night in the noisiest bars. Just as importantly, for a practice amp, it sounds great at lower volumes as well. Once you get a little more experience, you can design, save and share your own tones with the community. While it is easy to get started, you can find yourself tweaking and tweaking, as the hours go by. That is part of the fun, though, and to have such a variety of quality tones at your disposal still feels like a luxury.

Simply put, I love the way this little amp sounds. It delivers excellent tone with plenty of beefy volume, and the Amp Type dial provides a nice variety of amplifier sounds. I particularly like the Crunch setting for playing leads, but think the Bass setting could be fatter. Furthermore, you have full control over the signal chain. You can save your favourite sounds and then assign them to any of the seven amp voices across four preset banks. There are seven amp voices, which equates to to seven channels in the language of yore. You've got two for bass and acoustic guitars then Clean, Glassy, Crunch, Hi-Gain and Metal. There is a three-band EQ, gain, master volume and output. The effects each have their own dedicated controls so you can dial them in and out of your signal on the fly.The two 4" custom-designed speakers work in unison with a tuned bass-reflex port to produce a hi-fi grade stereo sound. Any style of music will "shine" when streamed via Bluetooth. Of course, you have heard it all before with regards amp integration blah blah, Bluetooth audio streaming yada yada... And sure, the Spark does all that. But the Spark can also analyse a song of your choice from Spotify, Apple Music or YouTube then transpose its chords so you can play along with it. Still can't get used to the drop in volume when switching presets or touching any of the controls. When I power on the unit, I get a decent sound level from whatever default settings I have. But switching to another preset, or adjusting the gain control cuts the volume quite noticeably. Ok, I received a new power supply unit this morning, 3-pins (German plug), grounded. No hum anymore, whatsoever. :-) A fully wireless 30-watt amp that includes a bluetooth transmitter for your guitar. Boss’s Tone Studio app offers 50 effects with COSM modelling and impressive amp voices.

This is a paradigm shift for the digital desktop amplifiers. The Spark 40 makes you want to play more, and it has the tools to make you better. Even without that, it offers a great-sounding and tweakable digital amp experience, with recording capabilities too. When paired with the phone/tablet app you can select, and tweak, your guitar sound from thousands of presets, or load a preset for a specific song or artist, or play along with a video from a streaming service.Look for a "universal" replacement with the correct voltage/amperage that also comes with multiple barrel tips. One should work with your amp. Something like this: A mind-blowing portable powerhouse, Spark MINI delivers innovative smart guitar playing to go. With multi-dimensional high-quality sound, all-new Smart Jam, video creation, and Bluetooth® audio streaming, it’s the biggest smallest rig ever.
