It is a resource for schools and the wider public, documenting various aspects of social and economic history. In May 2018 we started a two-year building project to restore and redevelop the buildings. We will:

To launch the project we hosted a dawat (a big family feast) at the old Limehouse Town Hall. It gave us the chance to showcase our group’s talent with this festive lunch, serving up delicious Bengali food, the kind not found in restaurants - yet! Perhaps more than any other borough in London, Tower Hamlets best represents the capital with its untrammeled riches and stark poverty. Despite hosting the city’s financial district, it has the highest level of child and pensioner poverty in the country, as well as the greatest level of income inequality in the UK. We have also been invited to design a cope for the new Bishop of St. Paul’s, the first women to be appointed to this post. A stitch in time saves nine, and we’ll get to the vacation spot an hour earlier without taking the break.”

All commissions are created by our professionally skilled, experienced Production Team. Our services suit all needs from one-off commissions to larger production runs. FabricWorks is the training, production and social enterprise arm of Stitches in Time. It began formally in 2014, matching the need for a London based textile production service with the need for supportive employment opportunities for women with an interest in sewing but with little/no work experience. We assist women facing marginalisation into training and employment, by creating opportunities to learn, gain real experience and learn a trade in a supportive, empowering environment. We now operate an innovative and ethical professional manufacturing service taking commissions from artists, designers and brands who care about who makes their products. The craftsmanship involved in every costume, and how a costume looks and feels, enables our actors to transform into the characters you see on stage. k r oom The Lydia & Manfred Gorvy Hub Costume S t o c k r oom A dmin O f f ices Me n ’s Costume W o r Our current projects involve The Fellowship Project in Bellingham, South London, a former landmark pub and community center, we are working with local community groups and schools to create arts works, including a large tapestry wall hanging, to adorn the walls of the building when it is reopened in 2019.

TV Guide gave the film three out of five stars, and noted, "a charming and sentimental piece of characterization from Wisdom." [7] Didn’t anyone tell you ‘a stitch in time saves nine?’ If you don’t know what that means, I suggest you look into it.”
