She touches him and to her surprise feels a spark, as the Lovers tarot card flashes in her mind. He pulls away in surprise asking Tarot if she felt what he had. Apologizing to Tarot he tells her its just because he has never met a real witch before. She assures him its quite alright as most people have the wrong idea...however, if they really wanted to know the truth all they'd have to do is ask her and she would gladly share but no one does ask. And so Tarot begins the tale of her life, initially interrupted at certain points by a confused Skeleton Man. And now, at the end of #31, we saw a glimpse of Tarot's deepest sexual desires, and they're all for Boo Cat.

Tarot: Witch of the Black Rose from BroadSword Comics

Good Shepherd: In issue #37, a mother chastises Tarot for being a "devil worshiper" right after she saves the mother's daughter from a car. A bishop happens on the situation and the mother tries to get him to join her in shaming Tarot. Instead, the bishop tells the mother off, claiming that she needs to work on being a decent person before she can be a good Christian. He then apologizes to Tarot on behalf of the woman and wishes her a good night (much to Tarot's surprise). Impossibly Cool Weapon: The werewolf hunter has gun katana; the gun part forms roughly half the hilt and guard of her katana, but fires horizontal to the blade. Tarot main abilities are her martial skills and great agility which enables her to fight supernatural beings even when not using spells or when she has not her magic sword around. Has Tarot ever brought up Boo to Jon? I talked about this with Jim once, and he more or less said that Jon may be a hurt Tarot kept it from him. Deep in the woods of Salem, Tarot and Skeleton Man walk and come to a halt, Jon seems surprised and asks Tarot, "This is it? I don't see any tower!"Fan Disservice: Balent infuses every issue with Fanservice, and it's inevitable that he'll draw something repulsive to others. As Skeleton Man begins to take out the little pumpkins with a barrage of fists he asks Tarot the plan to which she responds that all he has to do is avoid the teeth and claws, as they are poisonous, meanwhile, she will take out the Goblin Gourd herself, so running to stand before the massive beast she awaits as the creature draws in a deep breath, preparing himself... That's what I'm saying. I'm not saying it should happen, because it would be cool, I'm asking if it will, because that's what things are leading up to. Comic-Book Time: Averted. Time passes normally between issues and arcs. Because it's a bi-monthly comic, this can sometimes feel a little strange. Fan Disservice: Balent infuses every issue with fan service, and it's inevitable that he'll draw something repulsive to others:

Bullying a Dragon: You'd think that people wouldn't bully/persecute witches who have actual actual magic powers. You'd be wrong. Raven begins to speak, almost as if entranced, of a witch utopia she will create, a place where all the negative things of the world will be a thing of the past and they shall all bask in the warmth of The Goddess. But Tarot continues to try and stop her sister, telling her that what she will do this night will only make man fear witches even more, and a second burning time will come, countless witches will die all because of Raven's impatience. Jon's character seems like the type that while it would be "cool" to see the girls go at it and maybe even participate, the emotional factor would weigh in and do some damage on him. Especially as Boo was the lover before he came along. Frankly, after the way Boo "hurt" Tarot in the previous relationship according to #6, i don't understand why she would want to risk Boo "disappearing" on her again or hurting her again. I always assumed from #10-11 that the taboo aspect/temptation of having something you can't easily have being more attractive for her. Also, there is the factor that Boo can take care of herself more in Tarot's world than Jon can so other than great sex Boo has that advantage. Tarot asks him why the ghosts just don't appear and scare people off on their own but Jon tells her most of them find it difficult to do when he's not there and he believes it to be because of his near death experience. He then tells her that's the conclusion of his story and that now all he needs is his costume and they can hunt Raven down. The Twins are the spirit of a two-headed girl (actually conjoined twins) who died and whose spirit haunts Salem's cemetery. She/they are constant companion(s) of Skeleton Man, her protector.

It is the story of Tarot, a warrior witch, and her family, friends and lovers. The comic generally features stories of fantasy action and adventure interspersed with frequent scenes of nudity. In issue #39, a possible future reveals that Jon and Tarot are married and have a child, and then she and Raven ask him to father Raven's child as well. As seen on the trope image, it turns out well. Raven though seems to be unworried by her sister's arrival and instead reveals she's been expecting Tarot, and she continues to play the innocent one. Tarot, still infuriated, begins to yell at her sister about how Raven will only be ruining witchkind, not helping it, that the Goddess' power cannot be used in such a way. Raven remains uncaring for her sister's cries and tells her that one day she will thank Raven for what she is doing, ushering in a new age of witchery. I think a lot of gay/lesbian/bisexual people, Tarot would never say she wasn't Bi, but she also doesn't see the need to tell everyone. Alcohol-Induced Idiocy: In issue #24, Boo Cat gets drunk and ends up sexually harassing the staff, causing her and Licorice Dust to get chased away by them.Hilariously enough, the only time a man is vaguely exposed, it's the Talking Fountain, who is completely made of stone. Also, a giant. As they entire the kitchen, Jon tells her that he does indeed like the mansion and Tarot thanks him saying it has been in her family for generations. Tarot Reading: Her signature magic, Tarot is capable of seeing and interpret the tarot cards, giving her a vision of future events. However, because magic has double meaning, the reading actual meaning might be not the most obvious outcome.

Thought not a weakness, Tarot is also vulnerable to magic. Her magic armor gives her no protection against magical electric bolts or dragon fire. Also, mystical events can wound her and magical ropes cannot be breached by her physical strength. If trapped within a magical protection, her spells will be useless.

The series is a mixture of action, tits, magic, tits, neo-pagan propaganda, tits, Author Tracts, and tits. Love At First Sight: Tarot and Jon almost instantly fall in love with each other in the first issue and official couple at the end of issue #4.
