About this deal

It isn't all doom and gloom, there are tender moments and a mystery to the plot which reaches a satisfying ending. Can't wait to read more from this author.

the Key by Ruth Explanation, Summary + Review: The Turn of the Key by Ruth

Okay, so based on the ending, I'd love to give this book one star, because I can't possibly think of a worse ending. Firt of all, I didn't really like getting Matt and Rochelle's perspectives...Ethan and Isabel's and even Arkarians POV's were much more interesting. I also felt like Isabel and Ethan's parts in this last book were too small, and Matt's transition from a clueless no one to the leader who knew everything and had every power in the world..was way over the top. I to wszechobecne nagradzanie niesubordynacji!!! Na to zabrakło mi nawet słów komentarza, nawet mój sarkazm wysiadł.Having read and loved Kathryn previous two books The Secret and The Secret, I literally couldn't wait to read this her latest book. The intellectual discussion in the book is too shallow. May be it was a great book when it was written. It is definitely useless in the current scenario with so many other self help books doing a much better job in terms of information and ease of reading, capturing readers attention.

It's no wonder that after reading this book, Bill Gates dropped out of college and followed his dream via the methods outlined in this book. See what happens when one man understands the power of thought? One can literally change the world. This wasn't in the dark ages, this is healthcare in my lifetime and everyone should read this story and breathe a sigh of relief for all the fantastic changes in both medical and psychological support for sufferers of mental health problems. Also thank goodness for better human rights. The alternating perspectives of Matt and Rochelle in this book were good, but nowhere near as entertaining as Ethan and Isabel in the first. Rochelle's however, gives us insight to the true innocence, if you will, of all of the character's she touches, and her feelings for Ethan. Matt's as well provides major insight, as we find out that he is an immortal, and he finally comes into his powers. I also think that the romance between him and Neriah was the most natural and beautiful of the series. The patients I write about in The Key are all entirely fictional, but their stories mirror those of the patients who were actually there but never permitted to have a voice until now.’ (Full post ~ Inside The Walls of the Asylum ) Matt, presented as overprotective and obnoxious in the first book grows into a strong and ultimately beloved character over the course of this final chapter. For me this simply meant that I didn't resent him for taking what I believed to be Ethan's rightful slot as narrator. I'm glad that he, at least, survived to covet his blossoming relationship with Neriah. It's 2006, and Sarah is researching the now derelict asylum that housed mental health patients in the late 50's. While exploring the abandoned building, she discovers suitcases belonging to former residents and is drawn to one in particular that contains details of a terrible secret. As her enquiries continue, she starts to unwrap a haunting story from the past. The fortune was there for the taking, and ready to grab it were a blue-blooded oilman with his own offshore rig, a gangster so cold and independent that even the Mafia couldn’t do business with him and a psychopathic hired assassin.
