From the elegance of the writing to the descriptions of the clothing and the decor I was immersed in this book from beginning to end. When the passion he arouses in Lily only confirms his belief that she’s a wanton, how can she ever convince him of her virtue? Plus the book even included a surprise mystery plot line, which I never would have guessed from the synopsis and is one of my favorite things to read. This subplot made the story all the better and more intruiging for me(even if it was a mystery with a fairly obvious answer, I was still happy). The plot went much deeper in this book than I had inspected and I could not stop reading.

Angelica is the main character, she's sheltered and sweet yet she’s perceptive of the thoughts and feelings of everyone around her. Especially, Lord Giles Weston, he is the only thing that matters to Angel and selflessly more about his reputation in the eyes of London's commute and them discovering how well they fit together.
