I didn't really like any of the characters, but I did find the plot to be entertaining, and it was interesting seeing their survival skills put to test in this situation. Not to mention the misogyny of it. (Which, I didn't mention originally, but I'm fixing it now.) It is not okay to sexually objectify women like that. We don't exactly see a whole lot of women - only two, in fact. But both of them are characterized like that. As I said earlier, not a single scene went by when Scotty didn't mention Krista's hotness. THAT IS NOT OKAY! Not only to assume a teenage boy would think that way, but also to characterize women that way, like their sex appeal is their only characteristic. I'm not saying Northrop thinks that way - he may not have meant for that attitude to come across in his writing - but it certainly comes across that way, and Scotty is definitely misogynistic, no matter how you spin it.
