Violence. Speed. Momentum. | Book by Dr Disrespect | Official

I don't know why anyone would expect this to be a legitimate biography of the person behind the character, when the author is literally the fictional character itself and not the person portraying him, Guy Beahm. He doesn't exist as far as this book knows. Of course it's all gonna be BS, and of course it's all gonna be glorious.) Too much power. Wow. Too much energy. Wow. Too much anticipation. WOW. It’s the nationally bestselling memoir from the biggest star in gaming: Dr Disrespect.

Let's get this straight, this book was written for people who understand what it's like to be at the top of the mountain and only be halfway up. My parents watched in awe from the other room. Honestly, they were pretty good parents, even if they were baby-butt soft. They even bought me a Super Nintendo the next day, because seriously, it was 1992. And also because they’d finally started to guess what I already knew: that their son was meant for greatness. For a reign of supremacy unprecedented in modern gaming. For a garage full of Lamborghinis and a vertical leap of no less than thirty-seven inches.

Of course you might try to read it if you're not a fan, but you'll probably be scratching your head at catchphrases that keep popping up and running jokes that just keep showing up. If you're not a fan but you're very desperate for a book that makes you laugh, then maybe you can enjoy this book somewhat. But be warned, a lot will go over your head if you do. It was an original Commodore 64, still unopened in its dusty old box. Somehow, for mystical reasons I couldn’t yet fathom, the computer I’d always begged my parents for was lying here, in this random alley, among scraps of trash and rat turds. Violence. Speed. Momentum.” by Dr. DisRespect is more than just a book by the Two-Time himself. This captures, in all his glory, everything you ever wanted to know about Dr. DisRespect and then some. The way it’s told captures the pure essence of the Doc to where you’ll need to sit down to truly grasp the power of every written word that’s in this captivating book of VSM. Every badass superhero has an origin story. Historians, scientists, and Nigel the Editor all say so. To me, it's rather clear that this book is primarily written for fans of DrDisrespect, myself being one who perhaps paid more for a signed edition than he should have. And, to a much lesser extent, everyone else, in particular those who like over-the-top surreal comedy in a book. For that reason I can only fairly review this book as a fan, but I'll try to point out what praise it deserves as a standalone book and what praise it gets from a fan.

Do I think it saved literature? Doc says so, so of course. I read a lot, and this was a fun one that made me feel like it was giving me a firm handshake for being a regular fan in the arena.
