About this deal

It can be quite difficult to get the feel of a grip unless you give it a proper workout and I find you can’t really make a proper decision until you’ve played a match with it. Well, the answer is I’m a proud leftie, but just in case you don’t believe me, here’s a picture of my right hand. The Babolat VS Original Overgrip is used by the great Rafael Nadal and is one of the thinnest tennis grips on the market. If you’re suffering from blisters, you may want to give a softer, more comfortable grip like the Head Prime or Yonex Dry Grap. Continue to rotate the racquet and wrap the entire handle while following the natural angle of the overgrip until you reach the top end of the racquet’s handle.

Using a soft overgrip on your tennis racquet can help prevent blisters. If you’re a new player who’s just started learning how to play tennis, you may be more susceptible to getting blisters because your hands haven’t adapted to the friction your hand experiences as you play. It’s got everything a grip should have and more, and it must be the best product in tennis in my opinion. To paraphrase When Harry Met Sally, when you realize you want to spend the rest of your life with something, you want the rest of your life to start as soon as possible, and if you’ve never had this feeling, then you’ve not tried the Wilson Pro Over Grip yet.An overgrip, on the other hand, is a thinner, less durable wrap that is applied over the top of a replacement grip and changed more regularly. If you’re looking for the ultimate overgrip for sweaty hands, then look no further than the original Tourna Grip, which is another we love and runner up for best overall. I guess this is just part of the tradeoff, but I didn’t have the same problem with the Kirschbaum Touch It. There’s no shortage of overgrips on the market, but the one that you use will depend on your specific needs and preferences. If you’re the latter, rest assured, we know that the Wilson Pro Over Grip is the only grip out there, and if you’re the former, congratulations, you just found your new overgrip!

As simple as it sounds, one of the best ways to deal with sweaty hands and loss of traction is to replace your overgrip more frequently. For me, the two most important characteristics of a grip are comfort and absorbency and that’s why I lean towards the Wilson Pro Overgrips. It’s not great from a durability perspective as it often begins to fray after a little while of playing and becomes rather uncomfortable to play with. At the bare minimum, we’d recommend players replace their overgrip whenever they have their racquet restrung. However, if you don’t string your racquet regularly, you may want to replace your overgrip more often. Regardless of the sport, sweat is a natural side effect of being active. However, with tennis, it presents a unique challenge for players who sweat more than others because it can be difficult to maintain a solid hold of their racquet. The Sensation just loses a little bit of the cushioning that characterizes the Wilson Pro Overgrip.

My one hope with the Pro Sensation is that Wilson hasn’t sullied the name of the Wilson Pro Overgrip in a quest to satisfy a small number of people who like really thin grips. After a while, the grip started to roll up and wear at the bottom and this is not something I experience with my original Wilson Pro Overgrips. When you take 25% of the material away, it was bound to affect the comfort, but that’s just the tradeoff you’ve got to pay if you want a thin grip. The Wilson Pro Over Grip is super thin and super stretchy so you can spread it as thin as you like.

Unravel your new overgrip, and if it has one, peel off the layer of plastic protecting the grip’s surface. Step 3 This is a big issue for many people, so it was important that the sensation didn’t sacrifice too much in this area. Being 25% thinner than the original grip, absorption and cushioning on the Sensation are likely to be affected, but hopefully, it should retain some of those qualities that we love. For those situations, you might consider trying a grip enhancer such as Wilson Pro Grip Max lotion or Tourna Rosin Powder. Both are popular options that many players swear by. Blisters
