About this deal

I am spellbound by this delicate flower. I shot this with my Yongnuo 50mm, but on my Nikon D 3300, I can't do a double exposure there, but an overlay, I hope you like it ;-)

Yongnuo 50mm f/1.8 Lens Review - Performance | ePHOTOzine

Yongnuo 50 / 1.4 has a tangible 'Focus Breathing' effect (changes in viewing angle during focusing). During focusing towards the MDF, the viewing angle decreases. Yongnuo 50 / 1.8 II - Upgrading 'Cheapest and Lightest Autofocus Fifty' for Canon DSLR Cameras - YONGNUO LENS EF 50mm 1: 1.8'.The focus works but often it fails to focus if the object is uniform in color. That is, if the focus is on a point and there is a white door in the center of the screen, then everyone ... has arrived. All in all, Yongnuo 50 / 1.8 II became better than its predecessor. If the previous version copied Canon 50 / 1.8 II, then Yongnuo 50 / 1.8 II is already trying to copy something more advanced in something Canon 50 / 1.8 STM. True, Yongnuo 50 / 1.8 II and Canon 50 / 1.8 STM very different from each other. How will I tune in to a flashing with the subsequent autofocus adjustment, write about the sensations) Yongnuo YN50mm F1.8N weighs 20 grams heavier than the original Nikon 50/1.8G, from which the barrel design was copied (185 vs. 203 grams).

During focusing, there is no extension or rotation of the filter thread (analogue of the internal focusing) In the center of the frame, the lens is quite sharp already at F/1.8. Confident sharpness in the center of the frame comes with F/2.2-F/2.5. At the aperture of F/2.8, the lens in the center of the frame is very good. On full-size cameras, there will likely be a noticeable subsidence of sharpness in the corners and edges of the image. Hopefully. I really like the frames at f / 1.4, and if the focus is on, it's a feast for the eyes, and sharpness in the center, and bokeh. But it smears often, especially in poor lighting conditions. On the case no focus mode switch. The focus method is set through the camera menu. For manual focus, select the focus mode MF (manual focus) or DMF (direct manual focus) in the camera menu, after which the focus ring will respond to rotation after half-pressing the shutter button. My normal night focus tactic is to use a big flashlight to light up a distant tree and then use live view. With a lens like Samyang 24mm f/1.4 it is easy. It has a long, smooth focus. With the Yongnuo it is very tough as even a slight movement drastically changes focus. It was a slow and exacting time to focus. Then be careful not to bump the camera or lens (as it is loose in MF mode).
