AVOID EXCESS OILS, FAT AND GREASE – The raised silicone mat allows food to be elevated so that extra oils, grease and fat drip away from the food while ensuring an even crisp. The sustainability of the accessory is reusable, of a quality to be used repeatably, and fit for purpose. Teflon is of concern to some people. It works just fine in the air fryer, but if you prefer to avoid it, look for stainless steel, aluminum, ceramic or other oven-safe pans and dishes.

These unbleached parchment paper lines have holes in them to allow the air to pass through for air frying. They are great for keeping things clean, just make sure that they are weighted down so that they don't go flying around inside of your Vortex! Another item that can cause problems is parchment paper. While there are parchment paper liners with holes in them for air fryers, make sure that they are well weighed down with food. If not, the paper can fly around the air fryer due to the circulation from the fan and burn in the heating element. But, what if you want to bake in it, or how can you deal with hot pans? There are some really great air fryer accessories out there that will work well as Instant Vortex Plus accessories. Bread pan– a bread pan is another optional accessory for your air fryer. It’s designed specifically for making bread, pizzas and other flatbreads. These pans have sloped surfaces which make it easier to remove the finished product. We tested the liner with a batch of fat chips sprayed with a bit of oil. With the liner, the chips took a couple of minutes longer than without, but the result was the same for both, with golden, crisp chips with a deliciously soft middle.

The casing is covered in soft silicone to seal and prevent food lodging in the crevices. In addition, it is washable with antimicrobial technology to reduce bacterial growth, making it super safe to use.
