But it also comes from places so maybe that she can get an image image in her head and she can't get that out and it can be massive overload of emotions. Mostly associated with forest and nature, green is the color of balance, harmony, refreshment and fertility. Green has strong correspondence with safety, stability, and endurance. It is associated with tranquility and calmness, and it is said to be beneficial both for body and mind. Some even claim that green has healing effect. So add green anywhere you need you some balance and harmony. I wasn't quite sure what to expect of this novel. It's written in first person, present tense, something I often find off putting.. Except when the prose is so well written that I forget about the tense. It only took a paragraph or so for me to know that this was one of those books.This is a book about love, trust, mysticism, family, acceptance, humanity, compassion and so much more It’s about a character named Alice who has the ability to see people’s emotions in the form of colours around their bodies; she sees auras. She can instantly know just by looking at someone exactly how they’re feeling, and if the colour travels to her, then she can also feel exactly as they are feeling. Alice feels that this skill is a burden, not a gift, and we follow her as she tries to navigate her own life, carve out her own path despite feeling overwhelmed by everyone around her. The story follows Alice with her gift, and the people in her life – her disturbing and difficult relationship with her Mother and Brother Ollie, her elder Brother Hugh and then later her first boyfriend, husband, children and grandchildren. Like Eleanor Oliphant and Sally Diamond our protagonist Alice Kelly is different. Im discovering I have a love for damaged female protagonists, whether it's down to nature or nurture I love these girls.... Or maybe it's because I have raised a daughter on the spectrum and I see a little bit of her in all these special protagonists...it makes me want to fight the world for them and champion them!

This isn't a light read, rather one that makes you sit and reflect upon it as you go through it. Alice develops the ability to see people's emotions as auras and how this interacts between different people. She struggles with her mother, who is later diagnosed as bipolar, and younger brother, but is supported by her older brother. The story follows Alice through her life and the detrimental effect that her ability has on her interactions with others. The novel follows her life from a difficult childhood to self-discovery and the happy ending that the reader anticipates throughout.

Yellow is the initial color associated with optimism. Again, it is highly energetic and enthusiastic color. It is known to enhance mental activity and stimulates positive thinking and energy. And yet again, this is an attention-grabbing color. Due to its long wavelength, yellow is, actually, the first color people notice and thus it has a really strong impact on us. Yellow is also known to have some ‘side effects’. If it is overused, it may have a disturbing effect, it may affect self-esteem issues, arise negative thoughts and anxiety. I guess this is why babies react to yellow with cries. So it is safe to say that as soon as a new title from Cecelia is announced quite a lot of excitement follows which was accelerated further this time due to receiving an advanced readers copy of the upcoming 2023 release. It’s common to think that it’s best to use Aperture Priority exposure mode for situations where depth of field is critical, and Shutter Priority when shutter speed is key. However, for many photographers Aperture Priority is their go-to mode 90% of the time, as changing the aperture also selects a matching shutter speed – widen the aperture to shoot faster, close it down to shoot slower. You have a much more limited range of apertures than you do shutter speeds; a lens might only go between f/4 and f/22 – a five-stop range – whereas shutter speeds have a much broader range of between 1/4000 sec and 30 secs, or 17 stops. I’m not interested in writing the same novel twice. I’m drawn to writing about challenging, transitional moments in people’s lives, and that theme never changes, but how I go about telling the story changes so very much I’m sure it sends my publishers’ heads in a spin. I’m often too quirky to be commercial and too commercial to be literary and while I’m comfortable with not fitting in, it’s never easy when it comes to knowing where to put me on a shelf. What projects are you working on? As a doctor, I am qualified to tell you that this course of treatment will likely generate the best results. There are some big leaps forward in time, but for the most part I didn't felt that I needed to know the detail of what had happened in the intervening years. It's only towards the end, when suddenly there are children and grandchildren, that it feels too rushed.
