Wow. These cans have absolutely blown me away. The treble has settled down completely and now sits perfectly with the bass and mids. The entire spectrum is wonderfully blended without sounding messy or lost, and the imaging seems to have improved as well; the sense of space is more natural and the separation remains consistent without isolating instruments completely from one another. The only thing about them is I would love if the cable was a bit longer, but it's a very minor complaint one of a more personal preference.

It isn’t a very sensitive headphone so needs a decent amp. Together with some EQ in the lows and an amplifier that can supply enough voltage (it doesn’t require a lot of power) the K612 sounds impressive. Below the CSD of the ‘felt treated’ K612. The 2-3kHz resonance is much smaller and resonance around 12kHz is almost completely removed. In layman’s terms – I’d say the K612 sound extremely close sonically to the K702, but just a little warmer (not dark though), and without the glare in the upper end. To me the K612 are actually more balanced overall – and would be my preference. Some of the ‘harshness’ in the treble is lowered and you don’t get the sense of ‘hyper detail’ any more. It still has retained the original character but the ‘piercing’ is gone. It is slightly more obvious that the treble isn’t really that resolving and smooth though but more pleasant to me than when in original form.None of these headphones should really be pushed too hard, as they’ll kind of have a tough time keeping up. I came to this headphone after 10 months with a Philips X1. Although the X1 is a good headphone, towards the end of my time with it, I become increasingly dissatisfied with its sound signature. Draconian - Bloodflower [24/96 FLAC]: Yeah, feels dark. I was afraid because of the thrash segment. After that I realized that was about signature brightness of Megadeth. It's not that bright here. Well, it's not a direct hit for the genre though. Beyers should be better for that. Female vocals are whole another story, sounds excellent.

The former ( K371) is basically unlistenable (due to how he mixed it), but the latter ( K702) makes it sound pretty incredible, all things considered. K612 What’s obvious is the resemblance above 5kHz to the K400/500 above. The K612 has a similar ‘bump’ around 2.5kHz followed by a small dip. The K612 doesn’t show the typical roll-off below 100Hz which the 400/500 series shows. In fact I would say it is rather flat.Es analitico y preciso en las gamas medias y medias-altas, pero "zangano" de narices en las gamas bajas. Unfortunately I can’t find a frequency graph for the K612 (at the time of writing) – so I’ve used the K702 and K601 graphs – mainly because it fairly closely matches what I think I’m hearing. When they eventually do graph the 612 I’ll update the chart. And yeah, that jam out got REAL spiritual. Like wow. I now know exactly where the Allman Brothers and Grateful Dead got some of their influence. Secondly, the feel and comfort of them are phenomenal. I can wear them for 3+ hours and they are still as comfortable when I first put them on. Super-comfortable fully adjustable earpads are held securely in place with a soft leather headband and because the K712 PRO only weigh just over half a pound, you're sure to have an extremely comfortable experience wearing them, just remember to take them off!
