Fast forward a year: last night I saw the same friend again and got a brief whiff of her perfume - it was lovely. And when I asked, sure enough, it was Philosophy’s Amazing Grace. When we got home, I tried my bottle again; on me it’s still awful. Absolutely stunning. It feels... and smells like lemon souffle !! Very nice on the skin, and the scent lasts.amazing grace, the beloved, iconic soft-floral that’s always appropriate, classic and elegant is also available as an eau de parfum. It features a heightened concentration of bergamot, rounded out by soft muguet blossoms and musk so you can enjoy our best-selling fragrance even longer. This is a very clean smelling, soapy fragrance. I really like it. I don't think anyone else has compared it to this but I had a sample of Chanel no5 l'eau, and it sort of reminds me of it but it's half the price. This was always my signature scent until a couple of years ago when I started to get into more niche fragrances and wanted to find something a little more sophisticated. Amazing Grace Limited Edition by Philosophy is a Floral fragrance for women. Amazing Grace Limited Edition was launched in 2018. Top notes are Grapefruit, Mandarin Orange and Bergamot; middle notes are Freesia, Jasmine and Rose; base note is Musk.I just bought this again after not having it for a year or two... Um Philosophy has really perfected this!!! The bottle I had before was NOT as pretty as this!!!! So good on you Philosophy!!!! I have fallen in love!!!! I have the edt also. All I get is freesia and grapefruit - a DRY and clean combo on my skin. Inoffensive and familiar, but not for me. I've never tried or smelled the EDP, so I can't compare them. But when I do, I'll write an update. I'm not sure if I'll like the EDP better because it was a rose note, and I'm not a fan of a rose accord. But we'll see!To me, this is the essence of the word "beautiful". I love that it's a bit shy and not too overpowering. The citrus lasts about an hour. Yet in the drydown, it develops into something even lovelier, and on me, there is great longevity. I seem to get a bit more rose than what I'm seeing from other users. Sillage is more than than I was aware of when I first began using Amazing Grace. A burst of citrus before all the soapy, powdery goodness. This is a *sweet* musk bomb. Quite a *heady* musk, too. Also, the citrus I mostly get is grapefruit which is very hit-or-miss with me at the best of times. This is a Schedule 8 medication and can only be supplied if the prescription meets all relevant Australian health regulations. I did not like the ballet rose or nude rose versions as they are too floral and give me a headache. I did like the warm cashmere version of fresh cream but honestly I prefer the original. At first I hated it. Upon first spray all I could detect was a sharp smell of chemicals almost like hair spray. After a while when it had settled down it turned to a floral soapy freshness. I don’t really smell any jasmine on me it smells more like lily of the valley.. maybe its my chemistry or my poor recognition of notes
