Reading maps doesn't have to be boring. In fact it could be an invitation to an adventure and if you choose the 'Atlas of Adventures' by Lucy Letherland, then you are sure to have some wonderful time travelling with your finger on the map through some of the most exciting places." - Mojo Mums There are plenty of book options about wonders of the world for juvenile. What makes "Wonders of the World" stands out are: Whether you're visiting the penguins of Antarctica, joining the Carnival in Brazil or taking a canoe safari down the Zambezi River, this book will take young travellers on whole host of fascinating adventures across the continents. It´s a great gift for someone who likes adventures - from young to old (or for reading it together), it´s not overloaded with anything! This is exactly the kind of book that grabs my attention: a clear title (with a gorgeous font), and a beautiful visual sampling of what the reader will find inside the book. After perusing the cover, the delight continues with a beautiful world map with representative illustrations of animals or landmarks of each continent. The table of contents is divided into Continents and their respective wonders. A great complement to any world history or geography study.

A beautiful book... The illustrations are fun, the colours are vibrant, some of the facts are random (but true)...Fascinating, fun - and an ideal Christmas present.’ Atlas of Adventures is a huge – and rather yellow – book, and it’ s one I would have read endlessly as a child... In short, it simply seems like a fun book, and you ought to be able to spend ages looking at the pictures and reading the snippets of facts, over and over again.’

The generous size makes it great to share - excellent in the classroom. This is the debut title from Wide Eyed Editions, a new imprint of Quarto Books - I can't wait to see what comes next!” ( Parents in Touch) I was very glad to see my two favorite places in the world—The Alhambra in Spain and the Glowworm Caves in New Zealand—make the list. Throw in the Charles Bridge in Prague, Petra, Chichen-Itza, Torres del Paine, and Ludwig’s Castle and I’m completely happy with this. The drawing for that last one is particularly well-detailed, but on the other hand the Alhambra left a bit to be desired, since I know it so well. This is such a colorful and appealing title. It provides a fun introduction to the many wonders of our world for the young armchair traveler. This is a great children’s Wonders of the World book full of beautiful illustrations and amazing facts from all around the world. This would be a book I would love to own and could see myself purchasing as a gift.

I loved this book and I am an adult. It was full of geography and cultural facts from countries and cities around the world. The illustrations were great. It reminded me how much I loved geography classes as a child and how the knowledge gained has served me well throughout my life. I am sad that it is not taught in schools anymore.Calling young adventurers! You feel inspired to go to the places in the book and to learn more about them. An excellent book!
