The Auto-Vox V5 Pro ships in three different parts: a front camera, a rear camera, and a GPS antenna. Let’s take a look at each of them in turn. For the comfort dash, I routed the cable just under the passenger side footwell cover which is very easy to remove. Went up the A piller from there. I removed the ceiling panels to access the main rear wire bundle which runs down the passenger side and ran the rear camera cable alongside this. My first thought when opening up the box is that there were far too many bits and pieces for a single dashcam, even considering the front and rear cameras. There were two cameras, of course, but also a number of other dongles and accessories. That said, the WOLFBOX G840S comes with a healthy mix of features including Parking Assist, GPS, G-Sensor, and Loop Recording. In fact, the G840S mirror dash cam comes with a 32GB TF card, which is great. The good thing about this mirror dash cam is that it has been thoroughly tested by the folks at Digital Camera World. The GPS is fairly accurate, and you should have the speed and the timestamp on your videos.There is also a “driving mode” where the mirror functions as a regular mirror and your current speed is displayed with a digital image of a car. I didn’t see much value in that. Choosing the right dash cam means shopping around and finding the one that has the features you need. It also means finding a reliable manufacturer you can trust.
