About this deal

The Auto-Vox V5 Pro ships in three different parts: a front camera, a rear camera, and a GPS antenna. Let’s take a look at each of them in turn. The Auto-Vox V5 is already a great reversing & dash cam, but this ‘Pro’ option is designed to be fitted directly to a car’s fuse box so it really blends into the driving experience. 1080P video might not be the highest resolution available, but the Sony sensors capture good footage which is more than adequate for insurance evaluation. Assuming you supply the maximum 64GB SD card, that’ll record up to 72 hours, automatically recorded on a loop overwriting the older footage, and adding GPS geodata as it goes.

Hi have you received any quiries regarding reverse camera stop working. For sum reason the button i saying beep as are the rest but no action on that button not even after resetting and reformating Along the bottom edge, there is a power button. You can choose to turn off the mirror and use it as a traditional mirror. The controls across the bottom are, audio mute/unmute, rear/front/split view, record stop/start, photo capture, emergency file protect, and settings. Screen brightness is along the top. You can also tap the time to hide or show the date and time. The Pelsee P12 Pro comprises two cameras (front-facing and rear-facing), along with a GPS antenna. While the installation process is not challenging, you will need some patience to get the setup up and running.

Whether you’re a Sunday driver or a dedicated off-roader, you won’t have any issues with weatherproofing.

For the comfort dash, I routed the cable just under the passenger side footwell cover which is very easy to remove. Went up the A piller from there. I removed the ceiling panels to access the main rear wire bundle which runs down the passenger side and ran the rear camera cable alongside this. The hardest part of the install is getting the rear light cable through the rubber tailgate cable access. A long wire feed rod was very helpful. I then drilled a small hole in the top of the inside of the tailgate to pull the cable through. Again the wire feed rod was invaluable here. I finally burst my Air Fryer Virgin bubble with the Ninja Foodi FlexBasket, and can’t imagine why I waited so long Installing the rear camera can be a much more involved process than the front camera. But if you're not sure you want to get tied up in this process, it's also completely optional. You can always start with the front camera to get used to it and then add the rear camera later on. Fitting a reversing camera can be a daunting task if you’re not a motor enthusiast, but there is an unsurmountable need for power (the screen and the camera) and a connection between the two. The Auto-Vox Solar 1 takes advantage of wireless to transmit the video from the camera, and a solar panel to power it.My lighter plug is only powered when my vehicle is on. I turned it on and the mirror fired right up. It starts recording automatically by default, which is great. If you touch the screen, the controls show up. Where the devices differ is in the design department. In the case of mirror dash cams, you may have to replace the factory-fitted rearview mirror of your car. Or, you may have to strap the new dash cam on top of your car’s rearview mirror. Many dash cams on the market are beginning to boast 4K resolution, but as is always the case with cameras, the resolution doesn't tell the whole story. While the AUTO-VOX V5 is limited to 1080p resolution, it uses a Sony sensor with F/1.8 aperture for both the front and rear cameras, meaning the quality of the video is decent at the source.

My first thought when opening up the box is that there were far too many bits and pieces for a single dashcam, even considering the front and rear cameras. There were two cameras, of course, but also a number of other dongles and accessories. That said, the WOLFBOX G840S comes with a healthy mix of features including Parking Assist, GPS, G-Sensor, and Loop Recording. In fact, the G840S mirror dash cam comes with a 32GB TF card, which is great. The good thing about this mirror dash cam is that it has been thoroughly tested by the folks at Digital Camera World. The GPS is fairly accurate, and you should have the speed and the timestamp on your videos. There is also a “driving mode” where the mirror functions as a regular mirror and your current speed is displayed with a digital image of a car. I didn’t see much value in that. Choosing the right dash cam means shopping around and finding the one that has the features you need. It also means finding a reliable manufacturer you can trust. Auto-Vox is one such manufacturer. In the past, we’ve reviewed their Auto-Vox Aurora and Auto-Vox T1400 dash cam systems. Today, we’ll be reviewing their V5 Pro. Looking in through the factory tinted window, you can barely see the camera. It is pretty small and unobtrusive.

Take a look at thevillages.com for info on where we live. There are actually lots of UK folks with homes here! If you’re hauling a big camper, you need to think about driver visibility, indicating the presence of the load, and – when you reach your destination –the safety of you and your possessions. The Vision S system is built to contribute in every aspect with a selection of cameras; not just the rear Sharkfin with 120-degree visibility but side cameras with 65-degree visibility and amber marker lights. These can be installed in place of existing lights, cutting down on installation effort – ideally at the front on either side to give a view of the blind spot. Finally, a doorway camera is included which affords a better view of visitors – welcome or otherwise. The video quality is excellent. The crisp 1080p footage is void of pixelations and blurry effects. However, the dash cam’s night vision works best when it is assisted by some external light.
