I’m not sure if the ending is necessarily ‘likable’ but it kinda fit. It’s just not really a ‘feel good’ ending and is a little open. So if you don’t like that kind of ending, it may frustrate you. Unless she plans to do a sequel? Maybe… A peek inside David and Adele's private life — and a look at Rob's dream journal — leaves Louise with more questions than answers. If you can handle the swearing, I would recommend this book. It’s a great read if you can get past that bit. I like how the author left certain things to the reader's interpretation, such as: the identity of the body found in Kennedy's apartment, Deven and Justin's long distance relationship, the family dynamics of the daughters and their parents, and who was stalking whom.

I didn’t love this or hate this. I felt like the characters were built up but certain ones seemed inauthentic at times. There were some interesting moments in the plot and the suspense was there but the ending did not work for me. I did not find it at all believable and was a bit of a letdown. Mყ 𝐒ყɴ𝐨ρѕιѕ: When Deven is told by the police that her younger sister, Kennedy, was found dead of an accidental overdose, she can't believe it. When she's shown a picture of the body, she's firm in her belief that it is NOT her, albeit the similarities are extremely close. Deven decides to embark on her own investigating to find out what's happened to her sister, but she'll come to realize she's nothing of what she was led to believe. And the journey to the truth could be more sinister and dangerous than she imagined. Did she ever know Kennedy? & just what was she involved in? So what are all of these twisted and creepy characters actually like in real life? Here’s a deep dive into the real lives of the cast of Behind Her Eyes on Netflix. Eve Hewson – Adele Ferguson Opening the door to the police before 8:00 a.m. on a Saturday morning can never lead to anything good, a truism confirmed to Deven Reyonlds when she’s told that her younger sister, Kennedy, is dead by suicide and she’s needed to identify the body. But when shown a picture of the women found in Kennedy’s apartment, Deven is relieved to announce that the person is not her sister. The ME, the police, even her sometimes-boyfriend Justin think she is in the denial stage of grief, but Deven knows she’s right. That doesn’t explain though why the woman was found in Kennedy’s apartment or why Deven can’t locate Kennedy.Against her better judgment, Louise grows attached to both David and Adele, becoming increasingly enmeshed in their tense, complicated marriage. Behind Her Lives is a mind-bending thriller that has so many twists and turns that reading it felt like being on a speeding train non-stop. The story follows Deven, who finds out her sister Kennedy has died under mysterious circumstances. Unsatisfied with the answers she’s been given she decides to go on an investigation on her own and starts to unravel the lies that surround her sister’s life. So just a note of caution that this book might not be indicative of her entire body of work but I can’t confirm that personally. The limited series dropped on the streaming service on Wednesday 17 February, and is based on a thriller book by the same name written by Sarah Pinborough.

I like books that deal with possible mistaken identities. It keeps you guessing even when you think you know what’s going on. The more she digs, the more she realizes she maybe didn’t know her sister as well as she thought. In fact, her entire childhood and family weren’t quite what she thought they were. This is where things get interesting. She starts to learn about a whole other life that her sister lead, and none of it is good. It was an addictive read and I felt for Devan. Life was not being kind to her and things just kept getting worse. While it is never explicitly stated where they live, it seems like the series is based in North London.

Tom Bateman – David Ferguson

Because what’s behind hereyes, in this instance, is him. She is beautiful, wealthy Scottish heiress Adele, played by The Luminaries’ Eve Hewson. He is working class, Glaswegian heroin addict Rob, played by Game of Thrones’ Robert Aramayo. They meet as teenagers at rehab after the death of Adele’s parents, and realise that they share the ability for their souls to leave their bodies while they sleep and ‘travel’ to other places to spy on other people’s lives. ‘I love this place, I’d stay forever if I could’ Thanks to Tantor Audio, the author and NetGalley for the advance audiobook. I am voluntarily leaving my honest review* It’s a malevolent ending made all the more cruel by the existence of Louise’s seven-year-old son Adam, who knows instantly that there’s something very different about his mother after Rob takes over her body. The story ends with two women murdered, a man deceived for years about who he’s married to and having sex with, and a child’s mother replaced by the person who killed her – all so that one person can greedily live a life they coveted.

Robert Aramayo is the 28-year-old actor who plays Rob in Behind Her Eyes. Robert was born in Hull, England, and went to The Juilliard School, a prestigious private performing arts conservatory in New York, after winning a place there at college. I sympathized with Devan, but at the same time, she let herself be taken advantage of by the people in her life. She let her boyfriend take advantage of her. Personally, I think he was a narcissist. But not to worry, he gets his later in the book. There are people that care about her, but it takes her a little while to fully trust them and their motives. Actually, there are many characters that are hard to trust, and for good reason, as you will learn. this books had twists and turns in almost every chapter! i could not put it down. i read it in one sitting!Though I thought it strange that Deven’s character admitted that she intentionally didn’t date outside her race, I did appreciate that the author didn’t try to do too much with the love story part of the book. That was not central to the plot and considering all the things Deven was dealing with, I think it’s more realistic to plot the relationship the way Cole did. Featuring ~ dual 1st & 3rd person POV, dual timeline, suicide references, miscarriage, secrets, lies, drama, step-siblings In the middle, I felt like things stalled and weren't going anywhere. It was drawn out and there were so many red herrings to try to throw off the reader, which I'm fine with a couple, but there were a lot in this book. Content Advisory: 26 f-words, 64 s-words, 50 d-words; one short sex scene; suicide; miscarriage, including one dream post-miscarriage that was a little gruesome] I have only read one prior book by Briana Cole and I loved it, so I was excited when she reached out and asked if I would like to read and review a copy of her debut psychological thriller. Deven and Kennedy are sisters, and the book starts off with Deven having to go and identify Kennedy’s body, except she knows said body is not Kennedy’s. Confused as to what is happening, this sets her off on her own investigation and she soon realizes Kennedy may not actually be missing, she may not want to be found. And that Deven may not have known who her sister truly was.
