Description

This infographic is the bridging of the Old and New Testaments. It spans where the paper changes from the Old Testament’s uncoated, to the New Testament’s coated paper. I know it sounds geeky but it’s been strategically placed so the reader can experience the shift between testaments and between prophecy and fulfillment. Even if it was your first encounter with the Bible, your fingers would feel the change. Good catch! Column F is supposed to represent the Bible’s word count total. I’d left that count from a while ago (before adding the Aramaic portions). Once you open The Infographic Bible, you’ll find it difficult to put it down. As a teacher, you could build entire lessons around the infographics contained in this book! In addition to the 57 people involved in helping create the book, I needed a team to support me personally. For me to play all those roles in the project was much harder and more time consuming than I ever imagined, certainly, for the last 2.5 of those years it looked like 6 day weeks and working in my studio between 60-75 hours.

It’s important for children to learn these Bible stories, and there are a number of great resources available to help parents do this. As he got older, we transitioned to a study bible, which helped him understand the Bible in a deeper way and learn how to find specific scriptures on his own. The Bible is one of the key places we encounter God and His heart for a relationship with us, bringing nourishment, wholeness and peace. Some of the key people in my project support team, again in various roles, were also from Vineyard, people like Miriam, Abi, and our Chloe (see pp216-217). Carlisle Vineyard really was and still is a key place of support, they really did make up quite a lot of my personal support team and I shall be eternally thankful! The heart of this book is all about restored relationships, it had to be birthed through community we were created to flourish in it!)

Father, I know that I have broken your laws and my sins have separated me from you. I am truly sorry, and now I want to turn away from my past sinful life toward you. Please forgive me, and help me turn away from sin going forward. I believe that your Son, Jesus Christ, died for my sins, was resurrected from the dead, is alive, and hears my prayer. I invite Jesus into my heart and I confess him as my personal Lord and Savior. Thank You for sending your Holy Spirit to help me obey you, and to do your will for the rest of my life. In Jesus’ name I pray. Amen.” Karen Sawrey: I believe the Bible is one of the key places we encounter God and his heart for a relationship with us, bringing nourishment and wholeness ( Proverbs 4:20-22). It’s an incredible, life-bringing gift extended to every single person—enjoy! In case you’re wondering, this infographic assumes traditional authorship. Therefore, Ezra is credited with the Chronicles, Moses with the Pentateuch, and Paul with all Pauline epistles. The reality of how we got these books is a bit more nuanced, of course. Want to use this infographic? This is a zoomed-in prelude to ‘All the Prophecies about Jesus,’ using the same data set and key, and, of course, all the same design elements.

And I’ve been itching to make an infographic for some time, so I put all these answers (and more) here! My heart is to show that God’s word can be approached, wrestled with, analysed and meditated on. The Bible is one of the key places we encounter God and his heart for a relationship with us, bringing nourishment and wholeness as we interact with it. This isn’t a traditional story Bible, but it’s too cool not to mention. The Bible is far from boring, but sometimes it can feel that way to kids. Spark their excitement for God’s Word with this craze-mazing collection of infographic spreads designed to make the Bible come alive for kids and adults alike. These colorful creations visually depict the key concepts, important people, and most unusual facts from the Bible in a new and exciting way. In the overall history of the prophets in the latter part of our Bible, the nation of Israel was divided into two parts, Israel and Judah, after the reign of Solomon. Both nations deteriorated in their faithfulness to God, though Judah had some periods of revival. Ultimately Israel was conquered by Assyria and went into captivity in 721 BC, never to return as an independent nation. Judah was conquered by Babylon in 586 BC and returned to the land after 70-year captivity. Ok. However, tradition is not unequivocal about that. Conservative scholars these days generally seem to want to separate 1-2 Chronicles from Ezra-Nehemiah as the content and purpose of the two seem quite distinct (in some ways Ezra-Nehemiah flows on more naturally from 1-2 Kings). Of course Ezra is about Ezra, and not necessarily by Ezra, apart from the few chapters of Autobiography in Ezra (note that Nehemiah, which is integrally part of the twofold book of Ezra-Nehemiah, also contains an even longer autobiography by Nehemiah). I’d be very cautious about attributing Ezra-Nehemiah to Ezra, and would think that the likelihood of 1-2 Chronicles coming from the pen of the author of Ezra-Nehemiah as being almost 0%.Carlisle Vineyard church has been such a huge part of this project, supporting me in various ways (see pp218).
