About this deal

Amazing Service - Cannot thank them enough for their very kind service and fabulous food that we had. My two grandchildren and myself. The manager allocated us a table and a time frame which we kept. We didn’t have time for the children to eat... their dessert and incredibly two takeaway desserts were given to us. The children had left their hats by the river, so we had to dash. The only thing we weren't offered or that I think used to be on the tables were chilli oil which he asked for on his pizza. We didn't have desserts as we thought they were abit expensive for portion size as we didn't have a voucher and it was a Saturday so not offering a set menu. I believe they had a larger group upstairs (maybe 8 judging by the number of plates going up) so we’re focused on them maybe. But they were certainly missing an additional member of staff to nail the service side of things. If you sow several small batches a few weeks apart, you can spread out your harvests and avoid gluts.

Calabrese seeds are generally sown between February and June – indoors from late winter into mid-spring, then outdoors from mid-spring to early summer.

Ratings and reviews

We hadn't booked but were fitted in, I think higher quality than Pizza Express which we benchmarked it too, the boys said their squid starter was nicer and I always enjoy the tomato brushetta, we also had mixed olives which came in a nice garlic... herb dressing.

Creamy cannellini bean dip finished with freshly chopped parsley and lemon oil. Served with house flatbread Sow calabrese in modular trays, to minimise root disturbance when transplanting later. Fill the tray with seed compost, water well, then sow two seeds into each module, 2cm (¾in) deep. Seedlings should appear within a couple of weeks. As soon as they are large enough, thin them out to one seedling per module. Arrived at 7pm as a party of five. We were shown to our table by a server who already had two plates inhis hand and was waiting another table. Once the peppers are cool enough to handle, remove the skins, stalk and seeds. Place the flesh in a blender along with the sautéed onion and garlic and the rest of the ingredients except the lemon juice, salt, pepper and flaked almondsIf your soil is very acidic, apply lime the previous winter to raise the pH and deter clubroot disease. Calabrese prefers soil with a pH of at least 6.8. Calabrese usually grows and crops well, but it may bolt (flower prematurely) during hot weather. Choose a bolt-resistant variety in warmer regions. You’ll find a wide selection of calabrese varieties available as seed, offering variations in sowing/harvesting times, plant size, and resistance to bolting, clubroot and other diseases. Most form a large domed green head, followed by smaller heads for harvesting over a long period. Choose compact varieties if space is tight, as they can be grown closer together.

You can also sow in autumn and overwinter the young plants in a greenhouse, to plant out the following spring for an early crop.Broccoli plants (also known as sprouting broccoli) produce much smaller clusters of purple or white buds on the tips of leafy stems.
