About this deal

If you opt to use the 'Power Brush', which I usually do, then you'll also enjoy the LED lights being turned on as you vacuum. I tend to vacuum in the evenings, so I feel like I need a helping hand from the LEDs to get to all of the dust in my flat. You can find cordless vacuums on sale during every month of the year, but there's one period that's more advantageous than any other if you want to get a really great price on this cleaning must-have. This Shark vacuum really blew us away when we put it to the test at home. Highlights included the PowerFins, which reached deep into carpets with every pass to make them look as good as new. On hard floors there was serious power too, and toggling between those modes was painless thanks to the smart display panel. The battery takes 150 minutes to recharge, which again is up there with the best. You can buy an extra battery if you want to double up on cleaning time, but considering we never ran out of juice, we don’t believe it’s necessary for any home with four-five bedrooms or less. You can buy the Shark IZ300UKT for an added pet attachment (which will cost you more) or the IZ320UK for two batteries. For all the bells and whistles, try the IZ320UKT. It has a pet attachment and two batteries, but other than that it's the same vacuum as the IZ300UK.

The Beko Powerclean has a similar design to some of the best Shark vacuum cleaners, with a hinged design for reaching under furniture. It's immensely powerful, too. There are three strength modes, but we found that we hardly needed to use the stronger settings in most settings thanks to the sheer power at play here. It's also got a supremely handy stand to keep things organised in flats or larger homes. The nation’s best loved vacuum, chosen by millions for his reliability, performance and cheeky smile.. We were impressed by this cordless number after giving it a whirl for our Henry HBV160 review. As with his plug-in mates, our tester Sarah found this Henry was capable of cleaning carpets, hard flooring, car interiors, and the aftermath of DIY projects. While our fave corded Henry HRV160 was a bit of a pain to use on the stairs, Sarah found that the HVB160 was comparatively stress-free, with ease of use thanks to the 2.2 m hose which could reach every step with no trouble at all.

While still not as powerful as their mains-powered counterparts (especially the most powerful cylinder vacuum cleaners), new technology such as long-lasting lithium-ion batteries means that the best cordless vacuum cleaners from brands like Shark, Dyson and Vax now offer enough cleaning power for most homes, in a much lighter, more manoeuvrable and affordable format. It comes with a great range of attachments: a crevice tool, a multi surface dusting tool, a dedicated pet tool and an accessory bag. My favourite bit was the hinge in the middle, which allows you to bend the vacuum under sofas, cupboards and other harder to reach places, and also folds completely in half for storage. One battery lasts 60 minutes meaning I could comfortably vacuum my entire flat in one go, though if you have a bigger house you might consider investing in the double battery version. If you love Henry (the vacuum) and you have pets, then the Henry Pet 200 would be an excellent shout for you since it has all the great features of a Henry with the added bonus of extra pet-friendly features. Our tester Jen found that it excelled as collecting hair left behind by her adorable guinea pigs. It's for sure one of the best vacuums for pet hair. Cleverly, Numatic provide enough bags in the box initally so that you don't have to worry about repurchasing for a long while - 26 pods in fact, are more than enough to get going with. If you do have hard floor and carpet at home, then this Henry is fully equipped to help with the cleaning, with a range of floor tools. What's more, if your home is bigger then the large capacity dust bag will mean that you have to switch these over less regularly. Helen tested both the standard Henry and the Xtra for us, and thinks that the Xtra is superior, especially thanks to the fantastic Airobrush carpet tool. The only exception is if you don't have much storage space or just one floor type, in which case you might want to opt for the standard model instead.

Another way that Henry has made life easy is by keeping things simple when it comes to features and therefore keeping things simple when it comes to cleaning. Using dust bags comes into its own when it comes to clean up too as to take care of the mess inside (that usually explodes in a cloud of dust with non bagged models) all you need to do is remove the bag, and place it in the bin. None of the dust or nastiness escapes, and you don't even need to clean the inside space, as it won't have gotten dirty. A dream. After taking it for a test vacuum at home, our reviewer Helen can only agree that Henry is a dependable workhorse, with a low-maintenance design. It doesn't have the sophisticated features that brand-new cordless vacuums do, but it also doesn't need to be charged or regularly emptied, with its six litre capacity. Testing several of the vacuums included in this round-up has allowed her to see which model excels at which task, and to judge them on all of the crucial factors of suction, as well as ease of use and storage, which is important in her very compact space. She's also constantly looking out for the newest vacuum releases and technology so that she can keep you better informed on which appliance to buy.

The digital display is useful but not obvious. You need to refer to instructions to understand the messages. On the other hand, the app is extremely useful. It easily connects via Bluetooth and tells you battery level, standby time, how big an area you’ve cleaned and time spent cleaning.I tested out Staubs Pumpkin Cocotte Cast Iron Casserole to see if it is worthy of a place in your kitchen all year round There’s something calming about having a white scheme. It’s a blank canvas you can add to and change up whether it’s with cushions, plants and flowers' My first impressions were strong with this vacuum. The branding is seamless (who doesn't love Henry?) and the set-up was really straightforward. There's no confusing jargon or features. You simply attach the parts together and press the silver button on the vacuum body to get the suction to roar into life. Our reviewer Linda was the perfect candidate to try out the Henry Allergy vac. Her busy family home has three dogs and a family member who suffers from allergies. In her testing quest, she discovered that the HEPA filter at work here is good for keeping dust at bay and that the large capacity and bagged design mean you're more likely to keep allergens out of social spaces. In terms of performance, Linda found that the Henry Pet aced the tests she set out for it, whether that was taking care of spilt flour or getting behind her radiators to banish dust. If you have a mainly carpeted home, then listen up, as Millie found that this cordless vacuum really proved its worth in those high-traffic carpet areas. When vacuuming around her dog's bed, she was wowed by the visible line of clean carpet it left in its wake.

The Henry HVR160 was our former appliance editor Jen's favourite vacuum cleaner. It's robust, versatile, and easy to move around to clean up messes big and small. It also comes with an affordable price tag.We also took affordability, value for money and any extra features they offer into account. Here’s what we found on our hunt for the best cordless vacuum cleaners, starting with our favourite… Our reviewer Jen was impressed with the plentiful battery life of this vacuum which was more than sufficient for whipping around a 2-bed terraced home. She also found it was great to be able to adjust the cleaning modes which can make a difference to the battery life and noise level. If you have a big home, messy occupants, or want to save time, this is the Henry model to go for in our opinion. Its design features will keep you cleaning without pause, and it’ll cope admirably with all the dust, debris, and fur you need to remove from your home or car. In our review Lindsey gave it top marks for cleaning power and versatility, but bear in mind that it's heavy to lug up the stairs. The Roidmi X30 VX looks good in silver and has all the features you’d expect in a luxury vacuum cleaner: an LED display, up to 80 minutes run time, a dark-detecting LED light and an easy-empty dust container. It also has a few features you won’t have come across before, including a 200rpm (revolutions per minute) steam mop head. As someone who lives in a tiny flat, the idea of having two otherwise bulky appliances in one is attractive. Then there’s James, perfect for a professional job. Charles is a whizz at wet cleaning, whilst George makes carpet shampoo and deep cleaning a doddle. Don’t forget Henry Eco — tough on mess, high on energy efficiency — or Henry Cordless, whose whole-house runtime will never let you down.
